What info we need for troubleshooting this
When you hit this situation (clicks are tracking but not the sales/conversions) we need to know the following details before we can do any kind of troubleshooting:
1) A link to your landing page in question (where you have the payment button)
2) The affiliate link that you are using to test
3) What are you using to handle the eCommerce/sale side of things (PayPal button or eStore plugin or any other plugin?)
4) Which integration you are using (simply link to the integration documentation that you have followed from our site).
All the available pre-made integration options are listed on our documentation under the “Integration Options” section (simply tell us which one you are following):
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/
5) Enable the debug logging option by checking the enable debug field in the settings menu of the affiliate plugin. This will write to a log file when you do an affiliate referred test transaction. It will help with the troubleshooting.
Why do we need the above information?
The affiliate sale tracking is dependent on the eCommerce system (that you are using) notifying the affiliate plugin after a sale. When a sale is not being tracked it means something in the integration is going wrong. If we don’t even have details on which integration you are using then we cannot troubleshoot the problem.
September 8, 2011 at 1:57 am #34849ardeckardMemberI have just a few affiliates in my program now. I don’t believe the commissions are being tracked properly. One affiliate had one sale with several clicks. Then I completed a sale using their link and it didn’t show up on my sales page. Then minutes later another sale came through using their link and it showed. So it basically missed one sale in the middle, and I’m suspecting there are a few others that have missed as well.
Here is the sales landing page and my store page:
I’m using wp-estore, wp-affiliate (edit to add that I deactivated pdf stamper).
I am using the estore paypal integration and my gateway setting and my PDT identity token are filled in correctly. I can’t figure out why it’s not tracking.
Any insight is appreciated!
September 8, 2011 at 9:55 am #34850adminKeymasterYou are using WP eStore and the Affiliate Platform plugin so please run a test transantion with debug option enabled then share the debug data which will reveal the issue. This post will help you setup eStore’s debug option:

2. What are you using to handle the eCommerce site of things (Plain PayPal button or eStore plugin or any other plugin?)
S2Member paypal button
3. Which integration you are using (simply link to the integration documentation that you have followed from our site)
Thanks for your help!
March 23, 2012 at 11:24 pm #34853adminKeymasterThank you for sharing the details. It doesn’t look like you are using a S2Member plugin’s shortcode to place your “Buy” button.
Please use s2Member’s shortcode to place the buy button and it will start to work automatically.
April 23, 2012 at 3:45 pm #34854Michael DeLucaParticipantOk… now I think it is working!
Affiliate ipn_handle_debug.log is still empty (is that file no longer used?) but data for affiliate sales now appears in the Sales/Comm Data admin page, and the eStore’s post_payment_debug.log now shows a bunch of affiliate-related stuff like so:

[04/23/2012 3:18 PM] – SUCCESS :WP Affiliate Platform is installed, checking commission related details…

Thank you for your help!
April 24, 2012 at 12:18 am #34855adminKeymasterYes, its working fine. There won’t be much debug in the affiliate plugin when you use eStore with the affiliate plugin as eStore does all the work.

estore upgrade instructions are confusing me.
It suggests for live sites [ like mine ] in ‘important note 1 ‘ that I install it in a test wordpress site.
This instruction makes no sense whatsoever.sorry.
Perhaps it is not necessary? I’m averaging about 3 sales a day
