Hey there.
I purchased the eStore plugin a week ago and I have to say that so far I am very impressed. Not really any major issues, the bugs I had were of my doing. So far the cart and paypal are in sync and the cart contents get delivered. The only issue I am having right now is with the aweber add to email list function. Here is what happened.
When I made a purchase, the first emails came in as WordPress as the sender, from email address <admin@c18-ss-2-lb.cnet.com>. Then the email parser subscribed this information instead of the email address I used during check out.
So what can I do to fix this? I obviously want the purchasers email address added to my list and I want the emails sent from the blog to be from me the admin @ my domain.
Is there a simple solution that I am overlooking?
thanks,
info_guy
p.s. oops! forgot to ask if there is any way to make the coupon function more specific. For example, what I would like to be able to do is offer the coupon if they purchase 3 items. Not the coupon to be valid for up to 3 purchases, but rather, the shopping cart has to have 3 items for the products to be sold at that price.
If not, maybe it is something you can look into as it is easily exploitable as it is.
p.p.s. I am interested in purchasing the member and affiliate plugin at some future time, do you have a package deal for these?
November 23, 2009 at 3:24 am #16224amin007ParticipantSeems like there is something wrong with the email parser that you have setup in AWeber. It should not add the “from email address” to the list. When setup correctly it Adds the name and email of the customer to the specified Aweber list. Can you please make sure you have setup the parser exactly as it is explained here?
I am in the process of adding a complex coupon system which will allow you to configure coupons that you have asked for.
I don’t have a package deal for the eMember and Affiliate plugins but i am sure we can work something out when you are ready to purchase
November 23, 2009 at 12:52 pm #16225info_guyMemberyes, my parser is set up exactly as you have demonstrated. I will test it again, over at my blog yesterday, I discovered that I had made a typo in the email settings and had an extra .com added after the actual admin email addy. Sometimes copy n paste can be a headache…will let you know how that test turns out.
will I be able to have that new coupon function when you are finished with it as an update? (cuts own throat) though I would pay for a feature like that since it is exactly what I was wanting in the first place.
as soon as I get this thing to a stopping point and indexed where I want it, I will be in touch with you as to the member+affiliate package.
keep up the good work
November 28, 2009 at 2:46 pm #16226startechMemberHi,
I too am having the same problem with the email parser. What is the solution to this? How do I get it to sign up the person that is making a purchase?
Thanks.
November 28, 2009 at 5:53 pm #16227startechMemberFinally!! I figured out what the problem was. I had to enter my Aweber list name into my eStore Settings Notification email address field. I originally had my regular email address in that field and thought that by just putting the Aweber list name in the Autoresponders field that was all I needed.
December 6, 2009 at 11:03 am #16228williamMemberHi,
I am coming down with this problem too. Was working perfectly for about 4 weeks then aweber suddenly did not get updated with new customers, nor did the seller (and presumably) the buyer email go out either. This was since about Dec 1, and I am on Hostgator so presumably something happened there…
I changed the SMPT to my gmail account and all is flowing well…. except now my gmail account email gets subscribed to aweber instead of the buyer.
I tried to implement Startech’s solution – although the “eStore Settings Notification email address” says clearly “This is the email address where the seller will be notified of product sales”. Not sure why you would put in the aweber list name?
Anyway it did not work for me.
Anyone with any idea’s?
Thanks,
William
December 6, 2009 at 7:42 pm #16229williamMemberI solved it!
Somehow gmail is overwriting the email address that I have specified in the “From Email Address” field in the eStore settings menu with the gmail address. So I changed the parser in aWeber to my gmail address and all is flowing smoothly now and the correct email is added to my AR list.
Thanks!
PS I am using the “Configure SMTP Settings” plugin from http://coffee2code.com/ to manage the WordPress mailer.
February 7, 2012 at 4:07 pm #16230bfl101MemberHi – i am new to WP Affiliate and am using it to promote 2 new products. Looks great and i am finding it easy to use except when i have come to add the plug in to another site to promote my second product – the first one works fine – received a sale already and had no issues installing and the affiliate side works ok
In my second site, I have done everything the same only when i have carried out a test affiliate sign up, they are not getting added to the aweber affiliate list eg product2affiliate@aweber.com. done the email parser etc as before.
I have been on with aweber and they manually added them selves to product2affilliate@aweber.com no problem and checked that everything looked ok.
I have just done another test affiliate sign up but affiliate not get confirm your subscription email from aweber as they are not being added to the list. They do received their log in details fine.
I am going round in circles – any ideas?
also do i do the email custom parser to the actual product list itself?
Hope someone can help me
Thanks
Yvonne
February 7, 2012 at 11:41 pm #16231adminKeymasterYou are most likely missing one or two email parser setup related steps. Please read the 2nd post from here and it should help (most people forget to match the from email address field value with the AWeber parser):
Also, go through these forum posts which might help:

February 8, 2012 at 3:49 pm #16232bfl101MemberHi – still not getting any where but when I check the email parser for affiliate list product 2 and put in that product support email, it then changed it in affilaite list product 1 email parser and also in the parser for the actual product… yet i did not tick the box that said enable parser for all lists in this account
Are you saying that I cannot have different sites with WP Affiliate installed, requiring different lists within Awber for customers, affiliates etc?
When i change the email trigger in one it changes it in all of them which is not what i want as all my products have separate domains and therefore separate emails for the customers for, support etc
February 9, 2012 at 2:07 am #16233adminKeymasterYou just make multiple email parsers on your AWeber account for each plugin. Didn’t you make a new parser for the affiliate one?
