Fantastic! Worked like a charm – thanks for your excellence as usual!

smulacMemberCan you please tell me where in the php file noted above do I add that line?
And also, will this edit have to be made manually each time after a plugin upgrade?
Thank you,
Stephanie
September 2, 2011 at 3:42 pm in reply to: "Not Found" Error Upon Checkout – tried everything specified here #35997smulacMemberRESOLVED!!!!
Theme & plugins were fine from your last message, but I asked my programmer to check the site and it turns out that a directory (not even related to this install) was set to 777 and I would have ever thought to have even checked it since it wasn’t part of this issue. He reset it properly and I’m good to go!
Thank you once again for hanging in there with me!

I need to start adding products, but I’m concerned about whether there’s something more indepth that’s going to have to be done, and I don’t want to duplicate efforts.
I am now up to three sites other than this one that are all working perfect. This is the only one that is having this error – so it’s still feeling very site/WP specific. And I’ve stripped out anything I can think of as a variable, all with no luck.
Thank you,
Stephanie
smulacMemberFabulous! I installed the updates, tested and it worked PERFECTLY!
Thank you so much for sticking with us on this one and coming up with a solution. Your quality support is very much appreciated!

No multiple copies – each time I’ve deactivated, manually deleted via FTP and then reinstalled (and tried this with 2 different versions of the plugin as well).
smulacMemberYou are wonderful – thanks!!! (Now, if only you don’t want to strangle me when you read the other post I made with a problem on a totally different site) *hiding behind my chair*

smulacMemberI am in love with both of these plugins (and I’ve used just about everything out there in the past 5 years) so that compliment is coming from first hand experience! LOL And if this is the only tricky part – I’m still exceedingly happy!!!
I just want to make sure I’m understanding it and also not ruling out if there’s a workaround.
We’re really partner 1 & 2, but I’m sticking with “house,” and “author” to be consistent.
So if house and/or author makes a sale, we want to split the profits 50/50. And if an affiliate makes a sale – they get 50% and house & author are splitting the other 50% (i.e., 25% each of the total sale.)
So in making myself the author and creating an affiliate account for myself – originally I set my “commission” (revenue sharing) to 50%. Now, from what I am understanding, for me to get a proper % of an affiliate’s sale, I should really set my author/affiliate account to 25%? I think that’s what it’s sounding like? If so, that would credit me 25% of any sales made by others.
But then how on earth do we (house & author) calculate what’s left? And how do we calculate an even split of sales made by each other (the 50/50 scenario).
We are not adverse to doing this manually, but it seems to me that once multiple people start promoting and are on varied cycles of masspay disbursements, this is going to become an accounting nightmare – because we’ll never know what the base amount that we’re splitting is going to be – not to mention the fact that 25% already came out of the base amount.
Please just give me some suggestions on how to accomplish this. Like I say, if we have to do it manually, that’s fine – I’m just not even understanding HOW we’d do it manually.
Perhaps, instead of what you said about you changing the current method of sharing – would it be more straightforward (faster) to develop some sort of a “report?” That way, if a report could be generated that had the calculations (based maybe on user input fields of author & % of revenue share) then the math could be done by the report and not us math-challenged end users? Just a thought?

smulacMemberOk – we did enable debug and did a test sale, but now I’m even more confused.
The WP eStore stats went from 31 to 32 – so that seems like it was right – it hadn’t done that before.
However, in the WP Affiliate Stats, it went from 37 to 39 (incremented 2 for just one sale?) In the WP Affiliate / Sales/Comm Data area, it shows 2 new lines – $8.50 to the affiliate for the sale and $8.50 to me (should have been $4.50 to me as author).
But I guess maybe we are getting closer, because would it make sense that if there was revenue sharing, that the commission data does show both me (author) and the affiliate. If so, then the only thing that’s now incorrect is the 8.50 vs. 4.50?
Stephanie
smulacMemberCompleted the upgrade, but I didn’t do the test transaction because the problem exists when an affiliate makes the sale and I didn’t know how to simulate that. Our “house” sales are calculating fine.
Also, just as an FYI, the prior installs had never been upgraded – they were the first and only installs. For this upgrade, I deactivated, deleted, and installed fresh as per your instructions.
New versions now showing:
WP eStore v5.9.1
WP Affiliate v4.8.1
The “house” made another sale last night (before I did these upgrades) – so now under WP eStore / Stats we see 31 and when we click on WP Affiliate, the overview there shows 37.
Do you want me to send you the login info somewhere?
Thank you,
Stephanie
smulacMemberWP eStore v.5.2.8
WP Affiliate v.4.5.2
Also, I ran a commission report and it’s only showing my 50% for the 30, and it’s showing the affiliate for his 6 sales, but not my revenue sharing portion of those 6; just the original 30.
Sorry – meant to also add that the report dates as well as just the dates on just the eStore stats page are for the full date range and it’s still not showing the full 36.
Thanks!
Stephanie
