Thanks wzp. I haven’t written any code in several years and this isn’t for the feint of heart. I think I’ll wait on you guys to incorporate this at some future point if you think it has generic value to other customers.
Thanks.

rnagarajanMemberThanks. How would we use this shortener with the eStore? The eStore dynamically generates the secured links that expire in a certain number of hours (I’ve set my store to 48). What I’d like to do is have the email notification to my customers send the shortened link rather than the long link generated by eStore. Is there a way to automate that process easily? Perhaps a setting option to shorten links would be the best approach, assuming that the administrator is aware of the slight risk of URL harvesting that you mention.

rnagarajanMemberJust FYI, Subsequent to releasing a new product I have had at least a half dozen customers over the past few days report being unable to use the long links. When I provided bit.ly shortened links, they had no issues. I think this feature could probably eliminate much back-and-forth with customers and administrative time for users of the plug in.
February 25, 2011 at 2:29 pm in reply to: Members show up on eMember dashboard but not under manage members #29419rnagarajanMemberJust FYI, I had the same problem and have installed the patch. It worked very well. Thanks for the prompt support!
rnagarajanMemberAs I mentioned earlier in the other support thread the problem with the login was resolved. No issues at the moment. All I was saying is that I do not appear to be on any of your email lists as I have never received notification for estore updates in the year since I originally purchased the product and I was asking to make sure I am on list for future stable major updates. I understand your policy on updates etc… No attention is needed now other than to verify that I am on the list for future major update notifications. Thank you.
rnagarajanMemberIvy I did read that post. However I have never received any email notifications in the past year in which time several estore versions appear to have been released based on the change in version number after I recently requested an update manually. So if you could please confirm that my email is in fact on the list. Thanks. Ravi
rnagarajanMemberFor some reason, I’ve never received an email notification of an update in the past. I purchased eStore about a year ago and eMember only recently. I ended up getting quite behind on eStore. My email is ravi @ rationalwalk.com so if you could make sure I’m on your list, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.
rnagarajanMemberThanks, this worked and the “remember me” function now persists login credentials between sessions.
I have a suggestion regarding updates. Would it be possible for you to push out notifications for plug in updates to users? Most of my Word Press plug ins auto-notify me when updates are available and allow for doing so within the main dashboard of WordPress. This might be a nice feature if you can enable it, however, I suspect that you may be going with the manual approach in order to secure the software to ensure that only registered customers can get updates.
Thanks again,
Ravi
rnagarajanMemberI just requested the update which upgraded my installation from v6.0.5 to v.6.0.6 but I am experiencing the same problem. When the user logs in and clicks “remember me”, the setting does not persist and the user must log in again the next time he visits the site.
