Hello,
I am having difficulty with the “Remember Me” checkbox in the compact login form. No matter what I attempt, the site does not remember my login from session to session. I have tried this on Safari, IE, Firefox and Chrome. Login credentials are only retained for the session of the browser. The next time the user launches the browser, the login must occur again. I have searched the documentation to see if there is a toggle that enables “remember me” and I cannot find one. Can you help?

Thank you.

February 9, 2011 at 5:06 am #28863wpCommerceModeratorPlease get a recent build of eMember from here –
Let me know how it goes.
February 9, 2011 at 2:30 pm #28864rnagarajanMemberI just requested the update which upgraded my installation from v6.0.5 to v.6.0.6 but I am experiencing the same problem. When the user logs in and clicks “remember me”, the setting does not persist and the user must log in again the next time he visits the site.
February 10, 2011 at 3:27 am #28865amin007ParticipantThe issue you saw has been fixed but I haven’t released that build yet. “wpCommerce” thought that the build was already released. I have just uploaded it so you will be able to get it now.
February 10, 2011 at 12:32 pm #28866rnagarajanMemberThanks, this worked and the “remember me” function now persists login credentials between sessions.
I have a suggestion regarding updates. Would it be possible for you to push out notifications for plug in updates to users? Most of my Word Press plug ins auto-notify me when updates are available and allow for doing so within the main dashboard of WordPress. This might be a nice feature if you can enable it, however, I suspect that you may be going with the manual approach in order to secure the software to ensure that only registered customers can get updates.
Thanks again,
Ravi

February 11, 2011 at 12:33 pm #28868rnagarajanMemberFor some reason, I’ve never received an email notification of an update in the past. I purchased eStore about a year ago and eMember only recently. I ended up getting quite behind on eStore. My email is ravi @ rationalwalk.com so if you could make sure I’m on your list, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.
February 11, 2011 at 8:14 pm #28869kteller8MemberI never have gotten any updates on the products either, would be great if they came in through the WP system. I will download to see if it fixes my problem, but our forum times out so fast, people have to relogin all day long.
February 11, 2011 at 11:21 pm #28870IvyMemberHi, Please make sure to read the following post as this explains about updates and when email updates are sent out:

February 12, 2011 at 11:13 am #28871rnagarajanMemberIvy I did read that post. However I have never received any email notifications in the past year in which time several estore versions appear to have been released based on the change in version number after I recently requested an update manually. So if you could please confirm that my email is in fact on the list. Thanks. Ravi
February 12, 2011 at 6:22 pm #28872kteller8MemberI read it, and did the auto update process:
1) It was hard to know what version is current. I couldn’t find it on the website nor is it listed in the file name of the file when you download. I had to just overwrite and see if it was new or not. I even looked in the readme.txt and didn’t see it; well only in the infinity theme. Is there an easier way to know what is current version?
2) I upgraded from Emember 5.8.1 to 6.0.7 and today we still experience the consistent request to login.
February 13, 2011 at 3:38 am #28873amin007ParticipantOn the support site there is a section called “Product Version Info” where you can find the current stable version numbers for all the plugins. Here is the specified URL:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/version-info
Please create a test member account then post the URL of the page were we can can log in using the fancy login option on your site so I can check if the cookie is dropping or not.
February 13, 2011 at 11:25 am #28874rnagarajanMemberAs I mentioned earlier in the other support thread the problem with the login was resolved. No issues at the moment. All I was saying is that I do not appear to be on any of your email lists as I have never received notification for estore updates in the year since I originally purchased the product and I was asking to make sure I am on list for future stable major updates. I understand your policy on updates etc… No attention is needed now other than to verify that I am on the list for future major update notifications. Thank you.
February 13, 2011 at 11:03 pm #28875IvyMemberHi, Yes you are on the email list.
