You can use ‘alexi petroulias kickboxing’ and you will find our site has the first 7 entries (fightsports-ondemand.tv). As for whether we are hiding anything that Google is seeing, no that is not the case.
Are you aware of anyway that content hidden using the shortcode is visible to non authorised users?

All of my site’s pages are unprotected, ‘premium’ content however which is video (stored on Amazon S3 and accessed using encrypted URLs which expire within 3 minutes of page loading) is protected with the ‘[emember_protected for=’ shortcode. This has been done to entice users into subscribing.
We have a lot of Google traffic, even though we have not launched yet… we are fortunate in that we come up first page for a lot of our expected search results!
The ‘Google First Click Free’ option has been enabled and I noticed that more of the videos are being played than I would’ve expected given that and our premium membership (we also have free subscribed members and guests accessing site) is nearly non existent!
Could it be that the Google visitors are seeing the video player and clicking play even though it is protected with the shortcode?
Can you explain exactly what is protected and what is not when the ‘Google First Click Free’ is enabled?
If ‘Google First Click Free’ is not the culprit, how can users view protected content (and press play)?
Thanks…
rhodianMemberHi,
Answers to your questions are below:
1. I am using the latest version (8.5.7). I loaded it yesterday – I’ll setup a member to expire today and see what happens with this new version
2. No, I am not using auto upgrade
3. Subscription duration is set to ‘1 months’
If you provide me with an email address, I will create an admin account for you to log in and look at the configuration.

rhodianMemberHi,
I’ve a free membership level along with a number of paid subscription membership levels setup. If free membership users do not purchase a subscription within 30 days, they should only have the ability to purchase a subscription. I have also set the ‘allow expired users to login’ so members can renew at anytime.
When a paid subscription membership has been purchased and it expires I have noticed that the membership level is made blank and the expiry date set to ‘Until Cancelled’ (on Manage Members admin page). As members are permitted to login, they have access to the content. They can even view the content that is protected by shortcode ([emember_protected for=…]).
How can I setup the system such that when the paid subscription expires users revert to the free membership AND when the free membership expires that they have NO access other than to purchase a subscription?
Thanks
rhodian
rhodianMemberThanks for the quick reply….
Will Google Analytics allow me to determine whether or not a media link was clicked?
Members may visit a page without viewing the video! Payment will be based on whether the embedded video is viewed or not.
