Ah. Great. Thanks.
Theres a shortcode for that
quadworksMemberFor this, keep in mind: German understanding of personal data is different to other countries
Link shorteners save the shortened link, and the extended URL. Obviously.
Google will, of course, log IP, shortened Link, and extended URL when someone asks for a certain short-link.
If you are paranoid enough to think about this, Google is able to analyze your customers behavior. In the end, Google knows more about your customers, than you as seller …
If wp eStore offered more than googles shortener, you would have a choice. I think, all of them log in a way, but that’s the way it is …
Best
Jörg
quadworksMemberThe same reservations with every other link shortener.
Nonetheless, would be great to have more options
quadworksMemberThanks for your answer. However, I have seen that entry before,
Isn’t it possible to change the database-prefix inside estore-plugin to point to a different site?
That would also be a great enhancement to the plugin, I think:
1) Install plugin in multisite
2) Configure plugin, and create all necessary Products on one (1) site only
3) Get the blog-ids from the network-admin-page.
4) Change the prefix on-the-fly from e.g. wp-multi_4 to e.g. wp-multi_8
4b) This has to be changed inside estore-plugins source.
5) Voilà, multiple WP-Blogs all with estore-plugin, one configuration, easy to maintain, cross-domain-store.
This way, you can have one estore-configuration for many different shops on one multisite-WordPress-blog. One user-database, one site to handle. If you sell software like me in German and English (for worldwide customers), this would be a great enhancement to the already great estore plugin!
quadworksMemberThanks for the Links. I will have a look.
Best,
Jörg
July 16, 2012 at 11:36 am in reply to: How to sell more than one track to download with one purchase #47360quadworksMemberHi Martin,
I think, you have to create 3 products
– 1 for the first track (e.g. ID 1)
– 1 for the second track (e.g. ID 2)
– 1 as a combined bundle (ID would be 1,2)
The 1,2 has to be inserted into “Digital Product URL” under “Digital Content Details (Click to Expand)”
This way, I bundled 4 of my Apps at [http://the-crying-eye.com/mac/]
Also, I can display the combined and reduced bundle prices. Great!

Jörg
quadworksMemberHi there,
I’d like to re-propose the inclusion of a rating system into wp store.
Would be a great extension, and very useful!
Best,
Jörg
