Here is the version I’m using. WP eStore Version: 7.0.9
I haven’t seen a captcha option anywhere in the settings of the plugin. Am I looking in the wrong place? If so, where should I look?
I read the info at the link you posted, but I’m not sure I saw any solutions to my problem. If I’m understanding the thread correctly, you or someone else sent him an update to the captcha plugin and he reported that his problem was solved and he thanked you. How can I solve this problem?
Is the captcha a plugin that you have to buy? I’ve been looking for it in my WP estore add ons and can’t find it any where. How do I get it? I’m trying to validate emails that have been submitted on my squeeze page.
I have made some headway. the auto responder is working. My email is being added to the mail chimp list. However, even though the global checkbox is checked, the buyer’s email is still not being added to the list. the list that I have in the e store settings is the same as the one for free downloads. the free download sign up is working, but the buyer sign up isn’t.
the reason why I wrote it that way is because I read here on this forum in another post that the spaces between words should be taken out. I have already written it the way you suggested and it didn’t work. I have tried it every way I could think of, but nothing has worked so far.
do you have any other suggestions for me? I have three lists on Mail chimp. Maybe I should try putting another list in the plugin to see if it works?
Yes the name of the list is Neville Peter Newsletter and bible musings. I have tried many different kinds of ways to write the title of the list, but nothing is working.
Here is the way I have it written now. NevillePeter|Newsletter|and|bible|Musings. Of course the period is not in the list title.
No matter how I try to write it, the email of the buyer is not being signed up to the mailing list. should I try changing the name of the list to see what happens? If so How should it be written? do both titles have to be identical? Should I get rid of all the spaces between the words?
As far as I know, the debug option has all ready been enabled. what else do you need me to do?
I didn’t have a problem with the download either, but I know for sure that the email I used was not subscribed to the specified Mail chimp list. How do I get the email of each buyer subscribed to a specified mail chimp list? I have enabled the API key, and I have all the appropriate boxes checked the way they should be. what am I missing?
I didn’t make any changes as far as the check list goes. the encryption semes to work sometimes and then it just doesn’t for some reason unknown to me.
I didn’t realize that private pages are only accessible to administrators. I thought that they were available to anyone the page is shared with, kind of like youtube videos. I am going to change the status of the page right now and repost the URL.

It appears that my download links are working again, but this has happened before. I’m not sure why it’s working now and I’m not sure why it stops working sometimes.

For 1 through 3 in the check list I’m good.
I’m not sure how to carry out 4 as I didn’t see any instructions on how to delete those files and where to find them.
I haven’t checked out 5 yet as I wanted to make sure I respond in a timely manner.
6 doesn’t apply to me since I don’t think these files are very large. I think my largest file is about 60 Megs.
I’m not sure about 7 because I don’t know if I have a caching plugin on my website. the developer built it and then left me to run it. I guess I can ask him.
I’m very sure that I’m good with 8.
9 doesn’t apply as I’ve never updated WP ester, it was just installed on my website about a month ago.
Now I have a question about 10.
there are capital letters in the file names for the files on my server and also in the URL generated links. should I change the letters in caps to lowercase letters for the files on the server? Would doing this mean that I have to make changes to the names of the items in the store and how would the URL for each file be altered? I don’t have any problems downloading when typing in the URL of the files. the problems begin when the encryption is applied.
