Just thought I would report back…
Seems to be working just fine now since the last upgrade. I reset the members to the correct levels, then did a purchase test to add a new member and so far after 2 weeks all have the correct membership level and the automatic upgrades are working as expected.
Thanks for the help.
Mike
mikeambrosioMemberThanks for the response.
I updated all to the latest and have set the memberships as you suggested.
I will also do a new purchase test.
I will report back what happens.
Thanks!
mikeambrosioMemberWell, I have no idea where to look next.
As per my last post, I did yet another test purchase, which put the user in the first membership. However, after 4 days, when the FIRST member was upgraded to the latest membership, it upgraded my newest “member” to that same membership (effectively skipping about 5 or 6 levels).
I have read every post I could find both here on the forum and throughout the help section. I am stuck. Any ideas? I am willing to give access but I don’t know where to send the details.
Thanks,
Mike
mikeambrosioMemberHi Peter,
Thanks for the response.
I did see that thread as well as view that setup instruction. That’s why I said I think I must be missing something
However, I also found some references to using the “Enable Secondary Membership” that may or may not be contributing…
I had it checked, so I unchecked it and I am now running another test to see what happens. I will post my results back.
Mike
mikeambrosioMemberBrilliant – that did it.
Once again, thanks! Excellent support.
Mike
mikeambrosioMemberOk, first – wow! Thanks! I should have checked back 2 days ago, but I really appreciate your effort on this. You guys are great.
Second, I did the upgrade as detailed above. I then put the shortcode on my page. When I click the upgrade, I get the following error:
Warning: array_unique() [function.array-unique]: The argument should be an array in /home/simple/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/wp_eMember1.php on line 1016
Warning: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed in /home/simple/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/wp_eMember1.php on line 1016
Membership Level Upgraded!
When I refresh the page after, the upgrade DOES work fine – I am upgraded for All Lessons.
I have not done anything such as deactivating plugins, etc. If I should do so, let me know.
And again – thanks for this new feature. Now eMember has 100% of what I was looking for.
Mike
mikeambrosioMemberHi,
Thanks for the feedback.
I do have a separate membership for all lessons and I also considered your option. I did not want to do that because buyer options like this, especially on a digital product, can cause confusion – and a raised cart abandon rate (been there…).
I can do this manually – but you should consider this ability. From a customer service standpoint, it makes life much easier…
That aside, I like these plugins a great deal and look forward to using them on many future sites
Thanks,
Mike
