October 26, 2012 at 11:51 am in reply to: Remaining membership time after subscription cancellation #39452KiricoohMemberIn my website visitors have to get Premium subscription so that they can become contributors and write articles. This premium subscription cost 10 euros by month. To make it works I have settled eMember and eStore as told on this forum. So In the membership level I set expires after a interval of 31 days and in eStore I set recurring billing Cycle to 1 month.
By mistake one of my members paied for two subscriptions in Paypal. This member gets 2 premium subscriptions with the same account.
In order to solve this I asked him to cancel one of his subscriptions in Paypal. He did, right now this member is still paying 10 euros each month but when he tried to log in eMember he got a message saying that his subscription has expired.
I’ve tried many times to change his statuts directly in eMember dashboard from “expired” to “active” but it is useless. Each time this member tries to log in his statut changes from “active” to “expired”.
What am I doing wrong ? As this member still pays each month what can I do to make him have an active acces to eMember ?
This is a big issue I really need your help on this.
Thanks
August 26, 2012 at 8:49 am in reply to: Cancel Membership from wp emember / Unsubscribe from wp emember #36222KiricoohMemberhello,
Emember is a great plugin however I just can’t figure out how to manage the cancellation side of the plugin.
I explain:
On my website a member must pay 10 euros each month to have acces to premium membership.
lets say that a premium membership starts on January the 15th and that the member decides to unsubscribe the 17th of february.
Right now on my site this member loose automaticly the right to acces to premium content as soon as he deletes his payment. It seems pretty unfair. I need to make sure that when a member cancel its recurring payment his account is still avaiable for the time he really has paid for. For our exemple until March 14th since he has paid for two month.
It ‘s a really big issue for me so please help me on this.
KiricoohMemberHi,
I got the same problem I try to install eMember in local with the last version of Easyphp and i got this :
Fatal error: Cannot re-assign auto-global variable _POST in C:Program FilesEasyPHP-12.0wwwMy.afroconscientwp-contentpluginswp-eMemberwp_eMember1.php on line 1209
I know that you are not supposed to help me since it’s a local installation but can you forward me the email you sent to xpunkx ? May be you can share this information for everyone who need to do this so you don’t have to send your solution again, again and again.
Anyway, when your site is important, you know that we have to test our changes before making them live. So what advice can you give to people like me who have bought your product and want to check that everything will be safe (no conflict with other plugins for instance) before putting everything live ?
Thanks
