MemberHow can a member unsubscribe or cancel their membership? Is there a short code?

KeymasterIf you have a subscription/recurring payment in place then the member simply have to cancel it from their PayPal account and the account will automatically get deactivated.
WP eMember also has an option that allows your members to delete their membership account from the profile page. Simply check the following option from eMember settings to enable this option:
Allow Account Deletion

MemberI’ve just set up a subscription product, but I’m not clear on how members get instructions on how to unsubscribe.
Would I have to add it to their member page and put the information in my newsletter?
Or is there another way to do it that I’m missing.
For example, could I set up an account deletion page and just link to that.
Since some of my subscribers will not be using PayPal, they can’t just cancel through PayPal.
Thanks once again for your help.

Memberhello,
Emember is a great plugin however I just can’t figure out how to manage the cancellation side of the plugin.
I explain:
On my website a member must pay 10 euros each month to have acces to premium membership.
lets say that a premium membership starts on January the 15th and that the member decides to unsubscribe the 17th of february.
Right now on my site this member loose automaticly the right to acces to premium content as soon as he deletes his payment. It seems pretty unfair. I need to make sure that when a member cancel its recurring payment his account is still avaiable for the time he really has paid for. For our exemple until March 14th since he has paid for two month.
It ‘s a really big issue for me so please help me on this.

MemberIs it possible to add to the emails just an unsubscribe-link without having the users to login in order to do so? There is nothing linked in my accounts to paypal

KeymasterYou can do the following:
1) Create a WordPress page called “Cancel Member Subscription Payment” or something similar to that
2) Place the following shortcode on this page:
[wp_eMember_cancel_subscription_link alias=”XYZ”]
Replace XYZ with your PayPal merchant ID
3) Now use the link of this page in your email

MemberI’ve tried this last option. But it sets a paypal unsubscribe button (user must login to paypal in order to unsubscribe from emember). Isn’t there the option to simply get deleted from emember without going to paypal?

KeymasterA subscription/recurring payment agreement is slightly more complex than a one time purchase transaction. A subscription agreement created via the standard PayPal subscription must be cancelled on PayPal by the user or the merchant.
