I don’t see an “Admin Functions” menu for my version of eMember. I’m using version v5.1.7. Is there a recent version with this option?
I’ll contact you for the most recent version.
kdelaplaMemberOkay, I just enabled access to pages on the “Add/Edit Membership Level” page, and it seems to have solved the problem.
FYI, I do think the text instructions are potentially misleading. It says in the “Granted Access to” tab that “You can globally turn on or off access to content (eg. all posts, pages, comments) for this membership level here. More customized content protection (eg. access to certain posts or pages) can be done via the Manage Content Protection menu”.
I read this as saying that if I wanted to give access to ALL pages I could set that option here, but if I wanted to give access to only a subset of pages I should use the Manage Content Protection menu. I didn’t read this as implying that I could only give access to a subset of pages if I first gave access to all of them.
But thanks very much for the reply! I’m thrilled with your plugin so far!
kdelaplaMemberI’m having exactly the same issue on my site. I have only one membership level which I called “Premium”. All my content I want to protect is pages, not posts. I select all the pages I want to protect in the General tab, and then select all the same pages in the “Premium” tab to grant access. But when I login as a user with “Premium” access I get “Content is restricted”.
Help!

The problem was with the subdomain. This site was sitting in a subdomain of my primary domain. I needed to change this subdomain to be my primary domain. The support guys at Bluehost initiated that change for me. Then I had to move my wordpress installation into the public_html folder. Then I had to update my permalinks.
