Hi Amin,
Basically a shortcode that will put everything in the product display EXCEPT the base price – since in this scenario the base price is $0. It might look like the image below

Thanks again.
kbdunhamMemberHi amin,
http://dunham-designs.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/shortcode.jpg
This is a screen shot of two product entries. The top one is real and has a thumbnail. There really isn’t a product description inside the product listing…but that’s just the way I did it.
The second one is the one I set up to show you what I meant. I didn’t include a thumbnail in the description and purposely included a long description so you can see what I’m talking about. All the description unnecessarily gets pushed over to the right…to make room for a thumbnail that doesn’t exist.
Also, I’m using Firefox and you’ll notice the white-ish border your CSS puts around images is still present along with its ALT tag….but there is no image. So you get this weird little white box at the top of the left side.
It would be great if there was a fancy code that included the description, but not the thumbnail. And the description simply started all the way to the left side like you’d expect. There was no “blank” area for a thumbnail that doesn’t exist.
Thanks for the offer to make a new fancy code. I hope my description makes sense.

kbdunhamMemberHi,
It is still a major work in progress…but perhaps this will help you to understand what I’m talking about.

In the second listing, I’d like to be able to do some things I realize are beyond the scope of this plugin.
So what I’d like to know is if either of these are possible:
(1) Is there a “fancy” code that doesn’t actually SHOW the base price amount? I’d rather not have the base price show $0.
(2) Is there a way to place an order for a QUANTITY of something outside of the shopping cart itself. I don’t know if this will work…but I’d like to try. I realize you have an inventory control in your system and that might work. But for my example, there is no inventory here.
I honestly don’t think #2 will work for my case because someone buying 2 months of service will pay a different price than someone buying 6 months of service.
kbdunhamMemberHello,
I think the problem has been solved. I will keep working with the plugin and if the issue arises again, I will use the email you sent to me.
thanks
kbdunhamMemberI did figure out the solution you proposed above, and it is working to some extent. Its not the most “elegant” thing I’ve ever seen, but at least the amounts are adding properly in the shopping cart.
Here’s one thing I’d like to understand: I see that I can use the simple shortcode (not fancy) to display my variation drop-down and “add to cart button”. With this method, no one is confused by seeing a base price of $0. So my question is this…is there a way to display a “fancy” shortcode and NOT have the base price display? Maybe just the title of and description of the product.
******************************************************************
Barring trying to do what I’m doing…is there just a way to add a QUANTITY to a product on the product page? I see you can do it inside the shopping cart itself..but can’t figure out how to do it on the actual product page.
Working with inventory isn’t appropriate for this scenario because I’m not dealing with an actual product…it is a service so the inventory is unlimited.
Thanks again…
kbdunhamMemberThat all sounds awesome amin. I realize you said that your product might not be what I’m looking for but in fact I think it might be…and for my potential clients, it might be a good solution for some of them but of course, like you say, not all as it isn’t robust enough.
But thanks…I think i’ll be purchasing a copy for myself.
Cheers.
kbdunhamMemberHi,
You wrote – 1) You should be able to place a product anywhere you like. You can add products to a category then use the following shortcode on a post or page to display all the products from a particular category:
[wp_eStore_list_categories_fancy]
The following URL has an example and more explanation:
At the moment a product can only be assigned to one category (I think this limitation will restrict you from doing what you have in mind if you use eStore).
That’s great…but I’m still wondering about the other part of my question. Your example didn’t answer this. I want a gallery view of all products in a particular category, but when I click on the image or a link that says [More info] I’m taken to a page that gives me the full detailed info of that product. Your example only opens a larger image of the picture.
Can eStore do this? Thanks…
