That puts me back to the original problem. Yes, I mean eMember’s registration confirmation. If they don’t confirm, the auto-upgrade starts the clock from the time they first register, not after they confirm.
Forget that I mentioned aWeber, it has nothing to do with the problem. If they don’t respond to aWeber, they just won’t get the reminders that their acct has new content.
The email telling them to confirm is already very straightforward, some just don’t do it.
Thx.
May 14, 2013 at 5:57 am in reply to: Membership drip feed based on confirmation date, not join date #55546jzalmanMemberThat would be a great addition to the flexibility of an already great product. Currently, I’m using Aweber to drip an ‘announcement’ that new content is available (which corresponds to the drip timing of the eMember auto-upgrade).
Because of time-of-day issues, I have Aweber send the ‘notice of new content’ one day after the auto-upgrade is scheduled (so clients don’t arrive and have the content not available yet). Running pretty smooth… except when clients don’t confirm in a timely fashion. Then they get all the content at once, they are overwhelmed and don’t participate.
Your solution sounds great.
If you want to take a peek (it’s a training site for Landlords).

jzalmanMemberI added the WP-Crontrol plug-in which allowed me to manually run the ‘wp_eMember_scheduled_membership_upgrade_event’. This upgraded the members which were due to update on today’s date. I also modified the cron to upgrade members at 1am each day instead of the 9pm it had been scheduled for.
Everything seems to be working at LandlordsLawOffice.com
Thanks for the support!
jzalmanMemberThanks for the answers. Understanding that I have changed my process whereby the auto upgrade will promote the levels (on day ‘xx’) and I will have Aweber (now using only one list) send out the email one day later (‘xx+1’) for notification of availability. This will also take care of the opt-in for each promotion problem.
I also manually edited some ‘test Members’ by setting various levels and back dated subscription dates – will see what auto upgrades tomorrow.
Turned debugger on.
I did notice that manually adding a new ‘test Member’ DID notify Aweber to add them to the list specified in the level settings.
February 13, 2013 at 11:43 pm in reply to: Multiple free memberships with AWeber integration and automated account creation #32254jzalmanMemberYour above message trail indicated you might post a 4th Aweber/eMember integration video, showing how a Aweber form could be filled out and an eMember would automatically create a new member. Would love to see that!
I’ve tried both directions to get integration but must still be missing something.
Here was my first attempt:
on Setting/Autoresponder page:
Enable AWeber Signup: checked
AWeber List Name: left blank because it is filled in on Member Level
Use New AWeber Integration: checked
(got authorization code and successfully connected, ie. Button says ‘Remove Connection’)
on Membership Level
Autoresponder List/Campaign Name: listname@aweber.com
Notes:
1.users ARE added to WP eMember member list, but are unconfirmed, ie, no username/first/last filled in
2.manually emailing listname@aweber.com DOES start the Aweber autoresponder sequence and adds new subscriber to Aweber list, but not to eMember
3.If I manually go to Admin Function/ ‘Generate and Email the Registration Link’. The email is received by the subscriber. If the subscriber confirms, the member is successful at WP eMember. But still not aweber activity.
4.Also to note, I have several FREE membership levels – each has it’s own autoresponder sequence.
SECOND attempt was to create an Aweber form, put it on WordPress page, API still enabled… hoping it would create an eMember user. Aweber side worked fine, but I’m sure I’m missing the steps to have eMember user created.
Either would be ok but would prefer having it start with an Aweber form.
Thanks.
jzalmanMemberThanks for the great answer! Worked perfectly.
jzalmanMemberI am having the same problem. Physical product, no shipping address is requested during the Paypal transaction. Looking at the button’s code created by eStore I find:
name=”no_shipping” value=’1′ which tells Paypal not to ask for shipping info.
Perhaps this is caused by the fact that the item does not have a separate shipping charge (it is included in the price)??
How to force the Paypal transaction to prompt for shipping address?

Joe
All working fine now.
