I am testing a multi-level (all free for now) drip. It is set to auto upgrade from level 1 to Level 2 (after 1 day) to Level 3 (after 3days) … Level 10+.
1/ A signup yesterday has not auto upgraded today, is it based on the exact time of day? ie. 24hrs from signup? or the date (which means it didn’t work)?
2/ Each level has a separate Aweber list. When a client gets auto upgraded will that person also get added to the new Aweber list? And deleted from the old list? (I’m using the Aweber API)
3/ Is there a way (using Aweber API) to stop the duplicate opt-ins? Since each level has its own Aweber list, by default, Aweber will require an opt-in. I turned the opt-in off for all lists at Aweber but because it comes through the API, Aweber said the initial (Level 1) opt-in turn off is not possible. However they state that if the API is configured, it can change the client from one list to a new list without re-opt-in.
Will it already do that automatically? or how?
Since the client opted-in for Level 1, I don’t want them to have to re-opt-in for every level.
Thx.
March 14, 2013 at 3:48 am #54399adminKeymasterHi, the auto upgrade task of all members is done as a cronjob every midnight. So a user’s account have to meet the requirement at the time when the plugin is performing the auto upgrade check to be eligible for auto upgrade.
Give it enough time for the cronjob to kick in. Also, enable debug in the eMember plugin so we can take a look at the debug if it doesn’t work.
The auto upgrade cronjob doesn’t take into account the autoresponder list signup. The member will still stay subscribed to the list he signed up for initially. The level specific autoresponder list signup feature was added at a later date so we haven’t incorporated this functionality into the auto upgrader yet.
March 14, 2013 at 12:42 pm #54400jzalmanMemberThanks for the answers. Understanding that I have changed my process whereby the auto upgrade will promote the levels (on day ‘xx’) and I will have Aweber (now using only one list) send out the email one day later (‘xx+1’) for notification of availability. This will also take care of the opt-in for each promotion problem.
I also manually edited some ‘test Members’ by setting various levels and back dated subscription dates – will see what auto upgrades tomorrow.
Turned debugger on.
I did notice that manually adding a new ‘test Member’ DID notify Aweber to add them to the list specified in the level settings.
March 14, 2013 at 11:07 pm #54401adminKeymasterWhen you add a new member it will always try to signup that user to the list specified in the membership level (if any). It just doesn’t do the list switching when auto upgrade task is performed via the cronjob.
March 15, 2013 at 1:16 pm #54402jzalmanMemberI added the WP-Crontrol plug-in which allowed me to manually run the ‘wp_eMember_scheduled_membership_upgrade_event’. This upgraded the members which were due to update on today’s date. I also modified the cron to upgrade members at 1am each day instead of the 9pm it had been scheduled for.
Everything seems to be working at LandlordsLawOffice.com
Thanks for the support!

Is this available yet?

August 14, 2013 at 5:19 pm #54405sheritaberMemberHi Admin,
Thank you for the quick response. We really need it! We are having to employ a tedious manual process to maintain our lists manually. I’m eager for the release!
Thanks for all you do!
