August 28, 2014 at 9:23 am in reply to: eMember-Can eMember Sync With the WordPress User Database #53662jsakalosMember
Is there a possibility to create specific WP user from an existing member? Or in other words, keep specific eMember account and WP account paired?
jsakalosMemberI have already done that myself, because we couldn’t wait. Although it could be configurable from GUI in later versions of eStore. But generally, “replace_interests false” is the most logical, as whenever someone downloads a product, he will be added to that product group. So yes, I agree.
jsakalosMemberWe have tested it and it seems working. However we need “replace_interests false”. Can you tell me in which file to correct it?
jsakalosMemberDouble opt-in and welcome email are disabled.
jsakalosMemberI’d say this method: “lists/subscribe (string apikey, string id, struct email, struct merge_vars, string email_type, bool double_optin, bool update_existing, bool replace_interests, bool send_welcome)” with bool “update_existing true” and replace_interests configurable (if it is false, group is added – that’s what we need; if true, groups are replaced) in eStore – as let’s say welcome email.
But I’d say the key to all that is “update_existing true”
jsakalosMemberWe have the following problem:
Let’s say we have two products – A and B. Customer buys product A and gets subscribed to Mailchimp List “Customers” | group “A”. After some time he buys product B and should get subscribed to List “Customers” | group “B”. However Mailchimp API will reject it with the following error message: “(214) List_AlreadySubscribed”. I did a small investigation and it should be possible to just update group if a person is already subscribed (at least in Mailchimp API 2.0). We cannot use different lists for each product, because we must avoid duplicates when sending general campaigns (plus it would be quite clumsy).
Any solution?
jsakalosMemberThanks, works like a charm!
jsakalosMemberIt might be a good idea to start to look for an alternative to “Google Analytics for WordPress plugin”. I cannot say it is a bad plugin, but the support for Universal Analytics still seems to be far away (last update of plugin on 16.04.2014, last info on Yoast.com from 04.06.2014 w/o any specific dates). Until then we have no eCommerce and it is really a “must” for our business.
Is there a way how we could program it manually, so that eStore would be able to send that data to Google regardless of which wordpress GA plugin we use? We could code it, but would need to know some starting point, e.g. where to look.
jsakalosMember1 month for paid memberships; free membership is “until cancelled”
jsakalosMemberHow does this checking for expiration work with account state “unsubscribed”? Because I see in member edit page for one of our customers, that he still has membeship level Monthly as primary and his account is active, although it should have ended on 16.06.2014.
We use multiple memberships:
Monthly member (paid) – Primary – 1 month duration, renews automatically
Free – Secondary – never expires
eMember version: 8.8.3
jsakalosMemberWe moved to NK Google Analytics plugin and there is option called “Custom tracking code”. Would that help?
jsakalosMemberIs it possible to do the same for eMember?
February 21, 2014 at 12:23 pm in reply to: Is it possible to integrate Photo Seller with NextGen Gallery? #60981jsakalosMemberWell, with all respect to your great work (I’m a happy user of eStore, eMember and affiliate platform), the browsing and photo viewing user experience of photo seller built in galleries is subpar. My idea was to use NextGen pro for browsing/viewing with a per-photo button “Buy Now” or “Add to cart” (perhaps in lightbox footer area or an overlay) that would send user to photo seller where he could choose a variation from the pricelist.
Any thoughts, plans in this direction?
