Very strange, it appears to be working now… I think my problem is the host as you suggested. Do you have any recommendations to switch to? I’m currently with GoDaddy. Sorry for taking up your time with this.
August 7, 2015 at 9:59 am in reply to: Shopping Cart emptying and Manual Checkout not working as expected #71001jenncronjeMemberThe response I got back from them was that PHP sessions are enabled but I don’t have php.ini file. They weren’t very clear on whether this was the cause of my problems but told me to create it and put whatever script I want in it then place it in the public_html folder. This does not mean much to me, if I am able to create it do I just add the line:
session.save_path = /tmp
does it need anything else around it?
August 7, 2015 at 1:14 am in reply to: Shopping Cart emptying and Manual Checkout not working as expected #70999jenncronjeMemberI am having the same issue again with the shopping cart but only with Chrome browser. I’ve deactivated W3 Total Cache and I’m still experiencing the same problem so I’ve asked my host provider to look at the PHP sessions. Do you have any other suggestions?
August 4, 2015 at 12:20 am in reply to: Shopping Cart emptying and Manual Checkout not working as expected #70998jenncronjeMemberI do still have the issue where when using the manual checkout, if any of the required field are not completed it tells you the fields are missing but also clear/blanks out the fields that have been completed. Is there anything I can do to prevent that?
August 4, 2015 at 12:17 am in reply to: Shopping Cart emptying and Manual Checkout not working as expected #70997jenncronjeMemberI was missing these two tips:
Tip 1: If you are using the “Browser Cache” settings then keep the “Enable HTTP (gzip) compression” field unchecked for the HTML section in the “Browser Cache” page of W3 Total Cache Plugin. On some servers enabling the HTTP (gzip) compression in the HTML section can cause corrupted encrypted download files.
Tip 2: Try not to use the “Object Caching” as it can sometimes have a negative effect on your site in general if you use it with the standard “Disk” method. Remember, Object Caching is not enabled by default when you activate the total cache plugin.
I’ve reactivated it made these changes and it appears to be working…I’ll keep an eye on it.
Thanks for your help.
August 3, 2015 at 8:08 pm in reply to: Shopping Cart emptying and Manual Checkout not working as expected #70995jenncronjeMemberThank you. I followed the steps – emptied cache and deactivated W3 Total Cache and everything appears to be working find now. W3 Total Cache is listed as a plugin that does not usually conflict with plugins, any ideas why it would be causing issues for me?
jenncronjeMemberThank you.
jenncronjeMemberMe again ***hands on face***.
Still using compact_cart4 – When the value of the items in the cart is more that 2 figures, for example; 3 Items £174.00 View Cart, the number of items runs into the image of the little basket.
You can recreate this by going to:

Add the first cake to the basket twice and you’ll see what I mean.
Thanks,
Jen.

March 17, 2015 at 6:20 pm in reply to: Delaying payment processing until order has been checked and confirmed. #69181jenncronjeMemberI need to confirm that I can meet their order for the date being added to a text field. Ideally I need some sort of booking addon/ plugin where I have more control on what date can be put in…
jenncronjeMemberIt worked. Thank you!
jenncronjeMemberI changed to fancy13 during the course of the day. Thank you very much, it looks much better!
jenncronjeMemberOk. Thank you.
When displaying fancy5 in grid format, is it possible to get the product boxes evenly spread across the width of the page or perhaps fit in a 4th product in one row? It doesn’t look quite right justified to the left when I have selected the full width template.
Thanks,
Jen.
jenncronjeMemberThe image and text appear to be 2 separate items, does the cart icon need to be aligned separately?
jenncronjeMemberAm I very good at HTML and CSS? No, I’m learning as I go along… I’ve added the short code to a notification/ header bar, would it conflict with the theme?
When I tried it with 3 columns it look ok but wasn’t far right enough and the height of the column made the bar too wide…
