Delaying payment processing until order has been checked and confirmed.

Hi,

I’m currently only using manual checkout but would like to add another method, most likely PAYPAL. If a customer makes goes through PAYPAL (or any payment gateway) to enter their payment details, is the a way to delay the processing of the payment until after the order has been checked and confirmed?

Is the amount of time required always the same (number of days), or will it vary, from one order to another?

The time is the same…it would generally be 24-48hrs.

24 to 48 hours is well within the limits set by PayPal to either ship/provide an item or refund the purchase. Simply use Product Specific Instructions to indicate to the buyer that will be 1 to 2 business days processing time required.
