October 25, 2018 at 8:39 pm in reply to: How to let customers select which payment to use upon checkout for subscription #68118GiseleGrenierMember
What are the instructions when using e-member. I wrote a post yesterday and it’s gone.
These instructions only work for e-store and the gateway bundle.
The regular eStore subscription button does not work with Stripe. If you are using the Payment Gateway Bundle, then you must use a Stripe subscription button:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-payment-gateway-bundle-stripe-subscription-setup-2764
I followed the instructions to the letter to integration e-store and e-member and when using a stripe subscription button, I get this error:
Looks like you did not specify a recurring amount in the subscription details. Please note that you must specify a value for the Recurring Billing Amount to create a working subscription payment button!
this error is because the subscription itself isn’t setup in e-store and it shouldn’t because for the product, I already put in the membership level for the reference text.
I have students waiting to take on a subscription, if I can’t get this working, I’ll have to ask for a refund and go to another membership plugin, which is unfortunate with the amount of time I’ve put into this already.
October 25, 2018 at 5:34 pm in reply to: PDF Stamper – Not letting me uncheck this option in WooCommerce #77688GiseleGrenierMemberI had the same problem and the ONLY way around it, which goes against the training video, is the only way to have PDF stamper stamp a file and have it print only, is you have to check Enable PDF File Encryption along with Allow Print. The video says and shows only Allow Print checked.
3. PDF File Security Settings
The file security settings allows you to control the encryption and accessibility of the PDF file:
Enable PDF File Encryption – If checked the stamped PDF file will be encrypted.
Allow Print – The user is allowed to print the stamped PDF file. If you do not want your customers to be able to print it then uncheck this field.
Allow Copy – The user is allowed to copy or otherwise extract text and graphics from the stamped PDF file. If you do not want your customers to be able to copy any text or images from the PDF file then uncheck this field.
Allow Modify – The user with full acrobat product range is allowed to modify the contents of the stamped file. If you do not want the file to be modifiable then uncheck this field.
File Password – User password to open the file (you can either use a set password or specify it to use the email address of the customer as the password)
October 23, 2018 at 7:29 pm in reply to: Integrating wpcourseware with e-member – how up to date is the addon #78700GiseleGrenierMemberyup, already implemented it last night as I had students wanting to buy some courses.
I love your products and things are working quite nicely together, but I do think a better way of organizing your documentation might have helped save time. Most of the time I have to Google my problem to find the right page on your site.

October 22, 2018 at 9:26 pm in reply to: eStore – How to hide a category from [wp_eStore_list_categories_fancy] #78693GiseleGrenierMemberdarn, ok, I did it manually, toom me a while, but created layouts in Divi to make the rest of the process faster.
October 22, 2018 at 8:41 pm in reply to: Purchased Active Campaign Addon – works for e-store, not e-member #78702GiseleGrenierMemberok, I can see where you’re coming from, to confirm..
so if the person buys a membership outside of e-store or I create them manually and I want them added to my Active Campaign list, then I have to buy another addon right?
But typically with e-store and e-member, person buys the membership from the e-store and e-store talks to e-member to grant access, create the recurring billing and adds the person to my Active Campaign list.
October 22, 2018 at 8:38 pm in reply to: Integrating wpcourseware with e-member – how up to date is the addon #78698GiseleGrenierMemberI did some more testing: I created another version of the course just using the tab feature in Divi – nothing with wpcourseware
Member is in e-member, not a wordpress user
when logging in, member cannot access a course created in wpcourseware
they can see the outline, but not access the lessons
but, that member can access the page with the course created just as content (no wpcourseware integration)
WPcourseware uses wordpress users for enrolling – even when the “member” is logged in, WPcourseware displays a message that you must login.
e-member creates members, not wordpress users and wordpress users is what WPcourseware users to enroll and validate.
I took screen captures of everything and I’d be more than happy to give you access to my setup or even do a zoom call with screen share to show you how I replicated the problem.
October 22, 2018 at 7:10 pm in reply to: Integrating wpcourseware with e-member – how up to date is the addon #78696GiseleGrenierMemberOk something isn’t working right – I’m going to explain what’s working and what’s not, considering it’s a clone.
Current site: Running WP Courseware and another membership plugin
process in new site:
created course in wpcourseware – copied everything exactly
created a page in WP – again copied everything exactly
Added the membership level access to the page and to the course
Created an member via e-member
Logged in to new site
It confirmed what membership level I had
went to the course page – it shows the entire course outline, except I can’t access anything.
so I wiped everything out.
I exported the course from the current site and imported into the new site
set the access, reset the access for the “test user” for this course, opened another incognito window, the course outline appears, but can’t access.
