    Hi!

I’ve been using the .pdf stamper for awhile and it’s works great. There is one .pdf in the store that I would like to not be stamped. On that product page – I’ve unchecked the option to be stamped, however when someone tries to download this I am getting an error:

WooCommerce and PDF Stamper integration – An error occured while trying to stamp the PDF file! Error details: There was an exception when trying to encrypt the file. Error Details: Cannot open … (this is the path to the .pdf).

I’ve even tried moving this into another subdirectory since I have an initial one set for all of the other .pdfs. Thoughts on how to fix this?

The “correct” way of approaching this, is to first correct the integration error complaint. Please make sure you are running the latest versions of PDF Stamper & WooCommerce; and then ensure the Stamper integration is correctly setup:

P.S. Was the path that couldn’t be opened correct? And could the file be manually stamped?

I had the same problem and the ONLY way around it, which goes against the training video, is the only way to have PDF stamper stamp a file and have it print only, is you have to check Enable PDF File Encryption along with Allow Print. The video says and shows only Allow Print checked.

    3. PDF File Security Settings

The file security settings allows you to control the encryption and accessibility of the PDF file:

Enable PDF File Encryption – If checked the stamped PDF file will be encrypted.

Allow Print – The user is allowed to print the stamped PDF file. If you do not want your customers to be able to print it then uncheck this field.

Allow Copy – The user is allowed to copy or otherwise extract text and graphics from the stamped PDF file. If you do not want your customers to be able to copy any text or images from the PDF file then uncheck this field.

Allow Modify – The user with full acrobat product range is allowed to modify the contents of the stamped file. If you do not want the file to be modifiable then uncheck this field.

File Password – User password to open the file (you can either use a set password or specify it to use the email address of the customer as the password)
