    Right so my IPN is always enabled…it’s obligatory for proper functioning with OP. And yes, I would like to offer recurring commission.

    My concern is that the button I am using is not generated via paypal but via OptimizeMember. It is a subscription button which I tweaked to stop withdrawing payment after 3 withdrawals. However, the code generated through OptimizeMember is to be placed in OP’s “HTML/shortcode element”, not the WP text editor.

    This is an example of the code;

    [optimizeMember-Pro-PayPal-Form level=”1″ ccaps=”mentorship” desc=”$335 USD / OYC Mentorship Payment Plan” ps=”paypal” lc=”” cc=”USD” dg=”0″ ns=”1″ custom=”optimizeyourcourse.com” ta=”0″ tp=”0″ tt=”D” ra=”335″ rp=”1″ rt=”M” rr=”1″ rrt=”2″ rra=”2″ accept=”paypal,visa,mastercard,amex,discover,maestro,solo” accept_via_paypal=”paypal” coupon=”” accept_coupons=”0″ default_country_code=”” captcha=”0″ success=”http://optimizeyourcourse.com/oyc-thank-you” /]

    As you can see, this code would not function in a text editor, therefore, where would I add [wp_aff_paypal_fields], as you suggest in the https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/plain-paypal-button-and-affiliate-plugin-integration-168 documentation?

    I do not want to have to go create my buttons in my paypal account as this would negate the automated registration process and assignment of proper membership for new buyers.

    My question is a follow up on gingerstu’s question. I’m selling a course and have the option of full payment, which utilizes a “buy now” type button configure within the OptimizeMember plugin (so that is sorted as per your answer to gingerstu)..but also utilize the “pro-form” option for those needing a payment plan. This generates a shortcode that gets pasted into the shortcode element. It is set as a subscrition type button but I use it as a workaround for a payment plan and simply tweak the code to limit the number of payments to the number of montly payments I require. From the information found on the page you suggested, it seems that for these types of buttons, I would need to follow the instructions for Option 2 – Integrating PayPal Button Using PayPal’s IPN Feature.

    I’m not sure which I need to set up now – option 1 or 2? I don’t want to change my settings in paypal and all my customizations (and redirect) are set in the buttons generated from within the plugin itself.
