Okay, I don’t have any re-directs set up, but there is caching at this temporary domain. I’m going to make the site live at it’s actual location first think tomorrow morning and see if that resolves the problem. Stand by.

Hi, I was wondering if you had anything else for me in terms of tring to figure this out. Maybe my last note was not sent?

I checked all URLs – they are HTTP – no HTTPS.

No other plugins using WP User Roles.

Not sure what to do with this, client getting anxious. Do you think I need to set it up differntly, that my login/register screen is causing the problem.

Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it, would love to get this site up and running, this is the only issue they are waiting on for me to go live at the actual domain.

Okay, still trying to make this site work. I have removed all admins, programmed them to automatically become users, thta worked. But, when I try to add a new “member” in another browser, here is what happens:

1. I Register – and it works, I immediately go into the backend as pending;
2. My Owner makes me active;
3. I then try to login in again and after typing in my username and password and clicking the login button, I get a green message from wpEmember that says “Logged out successfully.”

4. But, if I go to my email, open in another browser, and open the registration confirmation email, and click on the login link there, it works. But, a new member is never going to go open another browser to login after registering, so that won’t work.

I believe this is related to the first email I sent you and I’m still trying to get this site working the right way, so thought I’d share what is happening.

Thank you for both responses.

1. I did not enable Login Restriction by I Address
2. I did not check “Disable Simultaneous Member Login” – the only thing checked there is “Keep only most recent login active”

To be clear, this is the error message I am getting:

“You have been logged out because another user has logged into this account from another browser.”

This is a new WPeMember site I am just setting up, thus the member testing, and that is why it is located in a Staging Area. HAve to make sure it’s working before I move it to the live domain. I think I’ve got everything else worked out, except this part.

Guess what? Now I’ve gotten the recaptcha on the registration form as well, found a way to go back to recaptcha 2 instead of the new enterprise that requires an API.

OMG, I added a plugin (Easy WP SMTP), and now it works… I was able to go through the process of resetting my password.

As to Recaptcha, I can’t seem to set that up becuase Google will not let me activate an API for Enterprise Recaptch… Iv’e tried several times, the wheel just spins and spins, never activates. stumped on that one.

I Enabled Debug mode; then I did a password reset request again with WPeMember.

Then, when I went to the look at the eMember debug.txt file, it was blank, nothing there, just a white screen.

I created the site, so I am always logged in as a WP Admin, but I created a separate “member” login for me too, so I go into another browser where I am not logged in and login to WP Emember, with those credentials. So I’m using the Wp emember login

Okay, thank you so much for clarifying this. Once I read that post, I tried again to reset my member password, and was able to confirm that, yes, the password reset email I was receiving was from WordPress, not WP emember. So, I installed the plugin you recommended: “Manage Notification E-Mails” and I turned off both of these: Password change notification to user; and E-mail address change notification to user.

Then I tried resetting my member password again, but I do not receive an email at all now, nothing from wordpress but nothing from WP Emember either. And I checked my prior attemptn, as to both my new and old attempt, I am not receiving that eMember’s password set email at all.

What would be my next step to resolve this?

I did check wp emember, and the “Forgot Password” notification appears to be correctly set up, it looks like this:

Dear {first_name} {last_name}

You have reset your password.

Membership details:
Username: {user_name}
Password: {password}

You can update your password from the edit profile area of the site (after you log into the site).
