Ah yes, when I click the link, it opens the browser, and starts to download the file, then quits within seconds and has the decompression failed message.
dwboneMemberAh… I actually want the ajax activated because I also do not want the page to refresh when customer adds an item to the cart.
so it appears it works one way or the other as the Jump To option refreshes the page.
I’ll keep the ajax and live with the not jumping.
to be clear,
my ideal scenario is
when adding to cart, the page does not refresh AND page jumps to cart anchor.
But I can see where those are conflicting actions.
Thanks for your help and any further suggestions.
FYI, I prefer to make changes to the functionality my self, so feel free to point me in the right direction whenever possible… I learn from the process, but appreciate that you guys are so hands-on regarding your customer support.
dwboneMemberthanks for the CSS, it worked.
… what “necessary changes” are you thinking? is it regarding the add-to-cart button not jumping to the cart?
unfortunately you guys have an email address I recently stopped using, your system will not let me update. Why not? I’d rather not have to start a new ID.
Thanks for help.
let me know about that Jump-to-cart solution.
dwboneMemberI developed it all myself, and did not customize the core.
It is all with short codes nested inside <div>s which are simply inserted in to page in standard content area; and a lot of CSS via T&T’s wp custom css plugin. This is similar to a technique as posted here:
I could increase the height of the containing div’s but that doesn’t actually do what i want.
Which is/are
1a) either eliminate the check.png (so point me in the right direction for that)
or
1b) have the check.png actually land inline with the “add to cart” button.
and
2) I would like the customer to jump to the in page cart, when they add a product.
dwboneMemberI would like to update my recent update
I have discovered that Firefox doesn’t like my autoplay audio track in a hidden div. By hidden i mean “display: none”.
so, I am just going to have a visible and audible audio track play on page-load, and that will facilitate allowing the other tracks on the page to play.
thanks for listening.
dwboneMemberFYI
Still have not figured out why the first track is the only one that “is live” on page load and that the other tracks won’t play until that track is played. I’m not as java savvy enough…
so, my work-around is to insert a hidden div with the player shortcode with a blank src reference and auto play. This allows any of the rest of the tracks to play on click.
dwboneMember[http:mcm4g.com/testing-table/]
select one of the song titles from low on the page and … add to cart.
it will add to cart but not JUMP to cart,
and
it will add the green check.png below the ADD to CART “button”, which happens to also land outside my hidden DIV, but that is because of the DIV’s parameters.
I would rather it jump to the cart and not have the check appear at all (but at least show it inline).
thnaks
dwboneMemberThanks wzp, works perfectly, I do now see a check.png, that indicates the item was added to the cart, but the check mark is pushed down well below the product options, rather than say… appearing inline, next to the “add to cart” button.
I am wondering how to eliminate this check mark or change its location.
also I think related and unanswered here:
I would like, instead of the check mark indicating item was added,
I’d like when adding to cart, for the customer to be jumped to the cart.
but it is not working. It does not jump to the cart, which in our case is located at the top of the page, so one has to scroll up to view cart.
dwboneMemberI am working out my Java issues but am wondering if you guys would consider implementing the hide/show script into a eStore fancy display or two…
here’s why,
as is, the shortcodes must be nested in divs to apply the toggle event, which means
new products must be added to the alphabetical list of products (on the page above) manually, rather than being automatically included when new product is added via eStore product admin, the process is double work, not intuitive for client.
anyway, a thought.
Thanks
dwboneMemberYou folks are awesome.
thanks for the lead.

( this is an imperfect test page just saying… anyway)
click a song title to show the hidden div that contains the e-store short codes. if you attempt to play any song other than the 1st one it won’t play, click the 1st player it will play, and the other players on the page will now play. Refresh the page and the problem repeats, so upon adding to cart which refreshes the page, resets the problem there you have it.
I do believe I’ve come across a solution in your forum here:
(Which might need a more prominent presence or clearer heading on your Documentation Page. I must say it is an amazing flexible way to create a customized cart. Wish I had come a cross it earlier…)
I am testing the method in the above forum post, it seems to allow any track to play upon click without the bug. If you have a solution to my test page bug, I’d like to know, it could save me some work.
Thanks for you help again.
dwboneMembersorry did not submit the sample code I’m using correctly:
< a onclick=”showHideDiv(‘div-7’);return false;”>SONG TITLE <div id=”div-7″ class=”player” style=”display:none;”>[sc_embed_player fileurl=”https://url.com/music/products/samples/song-file.mp3″%5D%5Bwp_eStore_add_to_cart id=7]</div>
dwboneMemberOkay… Here I come again, and again I am very impressed with your amazing products.
After a lot of work, I am following up with my playback issues, which may be due to me not using a cache plugin.
I have done as I stated previously… I shortened the clips and improved compression.
My current issue is, that the tracks will not play until the first track on the page is played.
The pause button will activate when the play button is clicked but no audio plays. Click the play button on the 1st track it plays, then click another track and now … the each of the other tracks will play on click, no delay.
any ideas, on why the subsequent tracks only play after that first track?
I’m using some php and have the short codes contained in hidden divs, until song title is clicked to reveal product details short code and audio short code – like so:
SONG TITLE <div id=”div-7″ class=”player” style=”display: none;”>[sc_embed_player fileurl=”http://WEBSITE.com/music/products/samples/SONG_TITLE_sample.mp3″%5D%5Bwp_eStore_add_to_cart id=7]</div>
Thanks for the help.
dwboneMemberI was thinking about that as well as shortening the length a few more seconds…
They are currently 30sec clips each around 400 to 700 kb, some actually higher and were created at another time, so I will go in and re-make my samples at a better, more uniform rate.
thanks for the feedback
dwboneMemberI don’t think it’s a server problem – when i use another player, flash based, it works fine, but i don’t want to use a flash player.
and my understanding is that a cache plugin in only loads content faster on previously loaded non-dynamic content. Does cache plugin PreLoad?
Thanks for your help.
