Thank you – got it figured out!!
DMY StudioMemberSorry – me again. Okay I set it back to a ‘Thank you” page – but the site is still not sending out emails to members to complete their transactions.
This is the part that isn’t happening.
“The member will receive an email that contains a “unique” link to complete the registration. When the member clicks on that link from the email, that’s when the user will be sent to the registration page where it will let him choose a “username” and “password” and complete the registration.”
I think that in the process of trying to get that working I changed settings, etc. compounding the problem.
Thanks.
DMY StudioMemberThank you – I can’t tell you how many times I went through this. Sorry to be so thick!
DMY StudioMemberJust to add on – I’ve been trying to troubleshoot, trolling through the forums. I tried enabling the “Allow Free Membership” setting… and now when I’m redirected back to the site I get the registration form with my username and password filled in and the membership level set to “Free” – although that’s not the membership level I just purchased. So this leads me to think that I’ve got info being cached that won’t clear and its affecting the system? Also, I have the payment set at .01, perhaps that’s why it’s registering as free?
I tried it from a different/new computer and had the same problem… as above. Not sure what to do now?
Thanks.
DMY StudioMemberOkay – when I specify the return url:
In both estore and emember – I do return to my site, however – my registration page says:
Free membership is disabled on this site!
Please visit the Payment Page to pay for a membership.Click Here
So, users are sent back to the site without a way to register for what they’ve paid for and are sent in circles…
I’m sorry to be such a pita – I’ve obviously mucked things up! Ty – I’d buy you a drink if I could!
November 16, 2012 at 11:42 pm in reply to: Member Renewal – Controlling The Renewal Through Forcing Member To Log In First #50799DMY StudioMemberHi,
I had the same question, I’d like members be able to renew before and after membership expires. So, I created a page that has a renewal button on it – using estore – set it up to include a link in the expiration warning and notice both include that link in it… I think that’s the most straight-forward way to handle it?
However, [emember_protected scope=verified_users_only] [/emember_protected scope=verified_users_only] isn’t protecting the content – it shows the member warning notice and then underneath it, the protected content is visible and I can see the closing shortcode tag?
Also, we customized the warning msg box content, and it really isn’t appropriate in this instance. Is there a way of changing it on just this one page without changing it throughout the site.
Perhaps I should take a different approach? Thanks in advance for your help.
DMY StudioMemberI got it working!! FYI – all that needed to be done was to change the url in the shortcode pulling up the image to an absolute link, rather than relative.
All is good in the world.
Thanks for your efforts.
DMY StudioMemberDo you know of anyone that might be able to address this? I’m happy pay someone for their time.
DMY StudioMemberAlright. Done. Sorry to say that the problem still exists. **** sigh***
DMY StudioMemberThank you! Still appear to be having the same problem…

I just purchased emember this last month – v8.2.9
Yes – I’m using [emember_protected] [/emember_protected]
Very appreciative…

DMY StudioMemberI’m using a plugin called “Video Embed & Thumbnail Generator” which goes to a “HTML5 video fallback when Flash isn’t installed.”
Plugin is here:
I couldn’t find anything on the site that seemed pertinent, but I’m happy to inquire and see if they have any clues.
Sorry – this is a bit over my head!
DMY StudioMemberThank you very much!
DMY StudioMemberThank you very much! I really appreciate.
Is it not possible to have the ‘Login’ use the ‘fancy box’ like in the full page content protection pages, rather than linking to the page? I can’t ad
___________
'Please <a href="void(0);">Login</a> to view this Content. (Not a member? <a href="http://www.realsurgery-meniscustear.com/join-us/">Join Today!</a>'
_____________
or can I?
Thx again.
DMY StudioMemberSorry – I’m not being clear. I do NOT need to know how to change background colors etc. It’s the functionality I’m after.
This is what appears when I use partial content protection:
I would like to see this instead:
I need the login link, the opportunity to join and would very much like the fancy box.
I just want the same things I get when I have full content protection. (I do want to change the text as well, but that’s not where I’m hung up.)
Thank you.
DMY StudioMemberThank you – that will be very helpful as I know we will want to customize a lot of the messaging.
I’m still not clear how to change it so that I get what’s on this page?
I don’t want a warning box… I want the default message with the fancy login, etc.
Would this have to be done with php?
Thanks again very much.
