Thanks, are there some instructions I can read? I have no idea how to get started.
February 20, 2011 at 10:12 pm in reply to: How to know if I have the latest version of the plugin? #26481dhancheyMemberHow do I know what version of the plugin I have installed on my site? I can’t seem to locate that information.
I did locate that the newest version is 4.9.4 – eStore.
dhancheyMemberHello Ivy,
That fixed it. The encrypted link is now on the thank you page.
I have used eStore for about a year and never experienced this before. Is it a recent upgrade to the plugin? I’m wondering if a well-managed email list, sending updates and instructions to plugin users, might cut back on the amount of support you have to do.
Anyway, It is working now so it is all good. Thanks for the help.
Debbie
dhancheyMemberIt was unchecked.
But I checked it, saved, and purchased another book.
The link is still missing.
Thanks,
Debbie
dhancheyMemberWhere are the directions to set up a shopping cart? I think I need to do that. I’ve never used a store page before. It seems that clicking the Buy Now button on the Store page is sending the buyer to the checkout page, except that’s not set up.
Does that make sense?
Just guessing here…
Debbie
dhancheyMemberNo, that did not fix it. Any other ideas?
November 8, 2010 at 10:25 pm in reply to: Previously working eStore install now returns Requested File Could Not Be Found #22031dhancheyMemberOkay, wait. I was using Pretty Link url shortener for the link to the product download. I have now changed that to the actual download link. Let’s see if that fixes it.
November 8, 2010 at 10:12 pm in reply to: Previously working eStore install now returns Requested File Could Not Be Found #22030dhancheyMemberI received an email today from a customer. The encrypted link is NOT working…still.
Any ideas?
It is only one product. The other products work.
dhancheyMemberNot on purpose
I did fool with my settings some. How about I just set up a new category? Would that fix it?
dhancheyMemberI created a category and put this code:
wp_eStore_category_products:category_id:1:end
on the store page. There are 3 products in the category.
When I set it up, everything worked.
Then I checked the sandbox feature button. Doing this caused the individual product pages to go to PayPal sandbox. Unchecking corrected them, but now the store page “Buy Now” buttons do not go to PayPal. The page acts like it is reloading, but goes right back to the store page.
I checked the products, and they are set up in this category.
Any ideas?
dhancheyMemberThank you VERY much, the store is now working again on the individual pages.
However, on this page: http://mywpworks.com/store clicking the “Buy Now” button does not take you to PayPal but back to that page. There are 3 products there, and it happens on all 3.
Any ideas on that one?
Thanks again,
Debbie
November 1, 2010 at 10:55 am in reply to: Previously working eStore install now returns Requested File Could Not Be Found #22028dhancheyMemberWhere exactly are the download options you mention?
I have 3 products. The other two work okay. It is only this one that causes the file error. And it used to work. If it were the server, they wouldn’t work either, correct?
I generated a new encrypted link.
I haven’t received an update to the plugin lately. When was it updated?
Thanks,
Debbie
October 31, 2010 at 8:23 pm in reply to: Previously working eStore install now returns Requested File Could Not Be Found #22026dhancheyMemberI just created a MailChimp list for each product and entered the list name to the product autoresponder settings. Let’s see if that fixes it.
October 31, 2010 at 8:13 pm in reply to: Previously working eStore install now returns Requested File Could Not Be Found #22025dhancheyMemberI added a MailChimp signup to this product. Could that have anything to do with it?
October 31, 2010 at 8:11 pm in reply to: Previously working eStore install now returns Requested File Could Not Be Found #22024dhancheyMemberHi Ivy,
First, I have checked to receive email updates of this thread but the emails never come.
1. URL works.
2. Those files aren’t in the download directory.
3. No spaces.
4. I don’t understand this so I don’t want to touch it.
5. File downloaded with no problem for two months so it must not be too large.
6. No caching plugin, that thing brought my site down so I uninstalled it.
I sell 3 products. Two download links continue to work without a problem. It is this one product that is causing the problem.
