Thank you. I deactivated, deleted, and reinstalled (don’t know if the deletion was necessary, though) and that error message went away.

Once I updated the download method they were able to successfully download their original links.
March 28, 2014 at 5:36 pm in reply to: wp_eStore_settings script causing excessive usage; encrypted links failing #61919dawnfariasMemberThank you for your response. Most of my files are 30-50 MB.
Method 6 in the download settings worked! I’m so excited about that. Thankfully (hopefully?!) I won’t need to look into another third party integration.
March 28, 2014 at 1:46 pm in reply to: wp_eStore_settings script causing excessive usage; encrypted links failing #61917dawnfariasMemberOK, I tried this suggestion from one of the forum posts
“If you are having a download issue for a large file then try using download method 2 or 6 which seem to work better for large files.”
Method 2 didn’t make any difference, but just now method 6 did! I am going to email my customers to try their links again. *fingers crossed!*
March 28, 2014 at 1:44 pm in reply to: wp_eStore_settings script causing excessive usage; encrypted links failing #61916dawnfariasMemberAlso, my customers and I keep getting “decompression failed” errors when using the encrypted links.
March 28, 2014 at 1:36 pm in reply to: wp_eStore_settings script causing excessive usage; encrypted links failing #61915dawnfariasMemberJust now I changed the the download method to 2 per the suggestion in this post: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/wp-estore-download-methods.
My files average 30-50 MB. Are these considered large enough to follow the instructions in the “selling large files” post? See: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/selling-large-files-with-wp-estore-796
Also, if the new download method works, will my customer’s previous links work now or do I need to manually send them new ones?
dawnfariasMemberYes, thank you. I wasn’t sure if PayPal actually was charging me fees (they are, btw) and thought maybe there was some configuring on the back end of eStore that I was not doing.
dawnfariasMember“Yeah you can do $10 off from total order without any issue. Its just that the total $10 discount amount will be divided between the number of products the user has in the cart (for example if there are 2 items in the cart then each item will receive a $5 discount so the total discount can be $10).”
This is not an good solution for me. I really need to be able to do something like “$10 off your total order” without regards to how many items are in the cart, etc. Is there really no way to do this?
Also, I have the newest version of eStore installed fresh. Thank you.
