Thank you!
cinnabrstMemberThanks for the response!
That’s what I thought. I have three ways to purchase my ebook: directly from my site using eStore, on Amazon, and on Barnes & Noble. I believe what happened is the person clicked the affiliate’s link to get to my site, then left my site via my link to head to Amazon to purchase the book there.
This may be a stupid question, but is it a common practice to award commissions for a scenario like that. Of course, I’m not sure that there is any way to track it, but I’m just trying to figure out if I need to find a way for them to also get commissions for off-site sales, or if they’re just SOL unless someone actually purchases from my site, where the plugin is installed.
cinnabrstMemberI apologize if this has been addressed somewhere. I’ve searched and I can’t find anything, and I’m new to this end of affiliate sales so this is perhaps something very simple that I just don’t know about…
1. Landing page: [http://starthomeschoolingnow.com/]
Purchase page: [http://starthomeschoolingnow.com/so-you-think-you-wanna-buy-it/]
2. Using WP eStore plugin for on-site sales, although ebook is available on Amazon & B&N.
I only opened this up to a handful of affiliates and I got an email from one this morning mentioning a sale that someone told her they made through her link is not showing up as a sale in her affiliate page.
I confirmed this, and saw that the plugin is tracking her click-throughs. I’m guessing that the mix-up is coming when someone leaves the site to purchase on Amazon.
Is there a setting I’m missing/messing up? Should I be using something to integrate the two? I guess I’m just not sure how that works.
Thanks!
