do you know the (technical) difference between the Default download setting and setting Method 6?

I ask because in the 128M server the download (default) and unzip works in Firefox but not in IE. It downloads in IE but I got the “corrupted” file error.

With method 6 it works in the 40M server for both IE and Firefox, download and unzipped.

On the 128M server with method 6 it download in both but in both I got the “corrupted” file error.

No, no download managers used. Only the plain link

40M = PHP version 5.2.14

128M = PHP version 5.2.12

in the 40M server serveral different names like “system,exec,shell_exec,passthru,proc_open,proc_get” etc.

extension_dir = different

include_path = different

max_execution_time = 240 in the 128M server

max_execution_time = 200 in the 40M server

open_basedir = different

post_max_size = different

memory_limit = different

register_long_arrays = ON in the 128M server

register_long_arrays = OFF in the 40M server

save_mode_exec_dir = pathname in the 128M server

save_mode_exec_dir = no value in the 40M server

sendmail_path = different

upload_max_filesize = different (32M – 64M)

upload_tmp_dir = no value in the 128M server

upload_tmp_dir = /tmp in the 40M server

Is there some more in particular where I have to look at?

Here it is so far. Started over, cleared everything.

Settings on download method 6

First 5M file, download worked (?) with IE, FireFox and Safari (on PC)

Tried 10M file, download worked with IE, FireFox and Safari

Tried 15M file, download worked with IE, FireFox and Safari

Then, reckless, 30M file download worked with IE, FireFox and Safari

Then 35M file file download worked with IE, FireFox and Safari

All files OK can be unzipped.

Then tried 2 files for one product (Splitsing the 47M file in to two)

It worked now…. I hope this stays stable

To prevent mistakes at my side I start all over again, first with the 40M server, that is the production server. I will start with 5M in different download settings.

I tried it now with a file 5M on the 128M server.

First method 6 (the IE solution from this post: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/digital-download-file-corrupted/page/2 )

It downloaded the file on the computer it gives 5M but corrupted with IE and FireFox (different downloads, with IE and Firefox)

Default method IE corrupted and FireFox ok.

With 5M on the 40M server both returned 0kb!

Tried download 47M not working OK I understand.

Tried with a file of 10M.. not working, returning 0kb in both IE (7 and and Firefox

Other server 128M (number from the phpinfo call)

Tried download 47M working in IE (7 and and Firefox.

Settings in e-Store method 6 (see the problem before)

All three returned “corruped” file. Tried method 2 the same all three “corrupted” file

Set the e-Store method to Default, all downloaded 47M but in IE (7 and file “corrupted” in Firefox it works correct.
