Okay, I know this doesn’t fall into the realm of specifically dealing with the eStore, but since it seems to be so commonly used with PayPal, I’m wondering if there is a step-by-step outline somewhere that walks a new user through the process of configuring PayPal so it works with your product.
I’ve configured things and I’ve tested but nothing seems to be working! I mean, the buyer seems to make the payment, but they never see the download E-Mail and the return page on my site just presents the shortcode for the scripts and not links as I expected it to. Also, I was surprised that in testing and you end up at PayPal, you have to click a button to return to the site? Is that normal or is it something I can configure on PayPal?
Soooooo confused. Thanks… Rick
September 20, 2010 at 8:08 pm #24574wzpModeratorI was thinking of asking Amin if he’d be interested in my writing a tutorial on how to use the PayPal sandbox with eStore… Is that something that would help? At least it would save you 32 cents whenever you wanted to see if it works
September 20, 2010 at 8:24 pm #24575MagusMemberOh yes! A tutorial for Sandbox would be a welcome thing.

It took me some time to “understand” the PayPal Sandbox. When you know it, it is simple… and very useful!
So wzp, go ahead! Let see some more of the promotion

There is no step by step PayPal setup guide as you don’t need to make any changes on PayPal after you create the account but the following post explains what settings should be used on your PayPal profile to setup a user friendly e-commerce site:

November 14, 2010 at 8:33 pm #24579JackAubreyMemberWas just curious if this ever came to fruition. I’m interested in the same thing…

Give me a few days and I’ll put together a SandBox narrative.
