I need some clarification on how this plugin is meant to operate. I’ve installed the plugin and selected the items that the bulk discount will apply to. When I add those items to the Shopping Cart with items that are not listed in the plugin setup for bulk discount, the shipping charge defaults to the charge for the bulk shipping items and does not add in the individual shipping charge(s) for the other items. So my question is, is the plugin supposed to combine shipping when other non-bulk shipping items are in the cart at the same time, or is it that bulk shipping items cannot be added to the cart with other items? Thank you for addressing these questions in the forum. I have looked and found no answer to this query.

November 17, 2021 at 6:45 pm #83940willboxSpectatorHi WZP… Thank you for reviewing my question. I have no automatic coupon discounts enabled, we are not using PayPal shipping profiles. We have an amount entered for the Basic Shipping Cost and then have added an additional amount in Item Shipping Cost in the Shipping & Tax drop-down for each individual item. The shop is being set up for physical items only that will be shipped – no digital products. All of the products are set up for Basic Shipping + Item Shipping. But there are 4 out of 60 items that are best served by the Bulk Shipping Plugin. Purchasers could foreseeably order a quantity of these 4 items, and then add items outside of the bulk shipping to their shopping cart. When this is done, the only shipping that shows is populated by the Bulk Shipping Plugin, leaving the other items with no shipping added. I was wanting to clarify if the Bulk Shipping Plugin is meant to work in conjunction with the e-store shipping system or if it has to be used exclusively or not at all. The plugin description and subsequent support forum discussions are unclear on this point.

I admit that I did read that entry before starting this thread. I have now read it several times, and I believe that the entry from @Admin is describing what I am doing. So my understanding is that you cannot use the plugin’s shipping and the standard shipping at the same time. If that’s the case, you’ve helped clarify what choices I need to make to keep the shipping simple. Thank you for your help.
