Hi there,
installed the addon Bulk Quantity Shipping AddOn – does not work.Should calculate (for the physical products only)
1-5 products in cart: shipping costs EUR 5.00
6-10 products in cart: shipping costs EUR 10.00“Downloadable product” in the individual product is not checked.
Base shipping costs: none
Shipping cost in individual product: noneI went through roundabout 60 pages of the forum and ended way back 6 years ago. No solution. ;-(

Well, does not work in this case means: the calculation of the shipping costs does not calculate.
In fact, I have physical goods (book), here the shipment costs should depend on how many books are ordered: 1-5 products in cart: shipping costs EUR 5.00
6-10 products in cart: shipping costs EUR 10.00This does not apply. Actually I do not see any shipping costs for the physical goods right now.
I checked all possible parameters:
defined shipping costs per physical product – in this case these shipping costs apply, not the bulk quantity shipping costs
defined base shipping costs – in this case these apply but not the bulk quantity shipping costs. Then I found a post here and followed the instructions: disabled all shipping cost (base and individual product because the addon is overriding these), but it does not override. I just don’t get the addon working.

Hi I am new here and I have just installed Bulk Quantity AddOn on my site. After following all the instructions to insert shipping rates I found the same problem as described here. When I define shipping in the settings the charge show up in the cart. Nothing of the Bulk Quantity AddOn shipping rates show up in the cart. I cannot see any solution here. Subsequent to my last post I have resolved my problem with bulk quantity shipping addon. For those who may find the same problem this is what transpired:
Before I put a value in for Base Shipping Cost in the main settings nothing appeared for shipping. It was after I put in a value for shipping that shipping appeared and was according to the settings I put in in the Bulk Quantity Shipping AddOn. I am now concluding that Bulk Quantity Shipping AddOn works only if a value is put in for Base Shipping Cost in the main settings and this is overridden. `I stand to be corrected of course if this is not supposed to be how it works.My next issue now is how to put in bulk quantity shipping for other countries?
I have been thinking that I resolved my last problem with Bulk Quantity Shipping OddOn but I am having the same problem in this new URL: [shoppingfromabroad.vallelybooks.com]

I went to that page and added the item with 4 quantity which applied a shipping of $32. It looks to be working fine to me. What is your expected outcome that is not happening (just so I know what to look for)?
The results are as they are because I had in the manage products a shipping cost for product 1 as $6.00 and the base shipping in the settings is $8.00. My schedule for the shipping costs as entered in the Bulk Quantity AddOn is as:
1 book – $14
2 – 3 books – $20
4 and up to 7 books – $38
8 and up to 11 books – $48
12 and up to 14 and all above – $60I would appreciate if you can explain how to fix this problem. The last time I had the problem it just sort of fixed itself. I would like to know what is happening. Thanks
At the moment, it looks like you are trying to use the individual product specific shipping and bulk quantity shipping at the same time? That won’t work if you are trying to use both. If a product has an individual shipping and you want to use that, then make sure to exclude that product from the bulk quantity shipping addon. That way the addon won’t override the shipping when only that product is in the cart.
Normally users who use the bulk shipping addon, they don’t specify any other shipping anywhere else. The bulk shipping applies shipping according to the configuration you set in that addon.
If the setup gets too convoluted, then our plugin won’t be able to handle that since we only do simple shipping rules.
