Your server must be doing something for simple PHP mail.

Hi, Finally sorted everything out! Thank you for your patience. It turned out to be an issue with the mail client on my server. My hosting provider was blocking all those emails. They recommend configuring SMTP to send emails. I have installed the SMTP plugin and configured the SMPT details and now all the emails are arriving without any issue.

    Hi there,

I’m having a similar problem and I appreciate all the suggestions listed here. I have done everything listed here, including turning off the From Address plugin, installing/configuring the SMTP plugin, and setting up PayPal as instructed. Debug is definitely checked and Use Automatic Post Payment Processing is checked, too.

    The results are:

    • PayPal testing on the Developer Sandbox site with my paypal.php URL and Web Access says that my IPN transactions are valid. I did this multiple times.
    • Also, I created 8 live transactions through my site/cart and all are listed in my PayPal IPN history. I also got emails from PayPal for each transaction.
    • And I am taken to the thanks/download page and all the download links are listed.
    • SMTP plugin test emails arrive successfully

    BUT!

    • There are no transactions listed in my WP eStore admin panel. Though PayPal shows 8 successful transactions, and I got to the download page each time, the sales stats say 0 (zero) and no customers were added.
    • When I visit the paypal.php page, it is blank. It doesn’t display the message it should.
    • My debug log file is also blank, though I have changed the permissions to 666 as instructed.
    • I do not receive any WP eStore emails as vendor or buyer.

    .

I’ve done everything I could find in the documentation and forum, but I’m still missing something. I could really use some help, please! :D And thanks!

Hi. I will need to take a look at your site to see what is happening. I will send you an email with the site access form. Please let me know if you do not get this email

    Cheers,

    Ivy

    Hi Ivy,

With all the emails, I forgot to thank you here for your help! All that weirdness, and it was a conflict with the MailChimp plugin that I was kicking to the curb anyway :P So glad you rooted it out, I hadn’t thought to look there.

    Thanks again!

    Hi,

Thanks for having this in the forum. I was getting paypal emails, but no sales recorded and no ipn debug log. Check one item off the first admin response on this thread and – things are better, but not right. On to the next problem – no membership emails.

    Cheers,

    Tim

I’m having similar problems to arukiyomi, except that my ipn_handle_debug log file is empty (0 bytes). I have gone through all the steps on page 1, paypal sandbox verified the settings on that file. In test transactions I’m getting through to paypal okay, click the button to return to the site and my download link is there and working. But I receive no notification from the plugin to either the buyer or seller and both options are turned on.

In the step where I test the wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/paypal.php file the page has the following error message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class MCAPI in /home/[...]/public_html/[...]/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/lib/auto-responder/MCAPI.class.php on line 3

(I removed the personal info and replaced with […].

    Hi,

I am having the same problem as ayuki

    I have followed all your instructions regarding having the IPN enabled and then doing sandbox check which said that IPN was successfully sent. However, all I keep getting in my debug log is;

[10/21/2010 12:57 AM] – SUCCESS :Paypal Class Initiated by 137.222.218.6

    [10/21/2010 12:57 AM] – SUCCESS :Post string :

[10/21/2010 12:57 AM] – SUCCESS :Connection to http://www.paypal.com successfuly completed.

[10/21/2010 12:57 AM] – FAILURE :IPN validation failed.

[10/21/2010 12:57 AM] – SUCCESS :Paypal class finished.

Sorry for the spam! I redid the debug test with the correct URL (from step 3) and got this:

If you take a look at the debug then you can see the problem:

FAILURE :Request received for product ID: AK-1234. Could not find this Product ID in the product database (please check the manage products menu and verify that you have specified the correct product ID).

You are sending a test IPN using sandbox for product ID “AK-1234”. Do you have any product with that ID? I bet no so how will pass eStore’s fraud check? Just because you are running sandbox doesn’t mean it will skip the fraud check (eStore will always go through the fraud check).

Sorry! My own stupid mistake. I repeated it with the real product ID again and I got:

    [admin deleted log]

It looks like it worked except my real buy links do not get redirected to either payment or download when the “Buy/Add To Cart” button is clicked; it just refreshes the product page.

Good to hear that the transaction worked fine.

Have you added a shopping cart for your “Add to Cart” button? Did you checkout the video tutorials here?

Please post a link to the page where you have the button.

I checked out the video tutorials and added a shopping cart for the button. It works brilliantly now!

Thank you for your patience and very prompt replies this whole time! It is much appreciated.
