The download link is not received, only {Product_link} email shortcode

Hello, I ‘m testing with Paypal Sandbox and I see that the buyer does not receive the download link , you only receive {Product_link}

I disabled bit.ly and I have also disabled encryption links, but still not working.

I’ve also disabled all my wordpress plugins , but it does not work

I checked my links exist and are downloadable.

I’ve been searching the forum for a while, but can not find a solution

WP eStore plugin version I use is 7.3.1

When using PayPal Sandbox, the system does not properly send emails; because the email system requires PayPal functionality that is only available, during a “live” transaction.

If you want to test the download links, do a live transaction test, for a small amount.

Do you have the {product_link} shortcode in the buyer email body field? One time someone put this inside the product specific instructions (instead of the buyer email body field). Also make sure to copy and paste that shortcode (otherwise it maybe not work if it doesn’t match). See the following post where someone else had a similar issue and it was fixed by using the right shortcode:

Are you using digital variation for your product in question?

wzp, I’ve done a live test and still do not receive the download link . What I receive (I work in Spanish ) it is this:

I’m not using digital variation to the product.

How was the Spanish email template created? I’m going to guess that maybe the email tag may have some invisible text inside of it; making it unrecognizable by the plugin.

Try editing the template in text mode (not visual mode) and ***MANUALLY*** retype the email tags by hand. BTW, the email tag names should be in lower case letters.

I already found the emails translated into Spanish with a ‘P’. I think this error is generated automatically when I select the Spanish translation.

Now, I have two questions and a request:

1. The download link is encrypted, although I have deselected the encryption option. I would like that the download link wasn’t be encrypted while I test the page. Later, I will encrypt it.

2. When the post button (shortcodes button) is clicked I get a window with “Error 404, Page not found”, and I don’t see the shortcodes. What can I do to solve this problem? If I would know the url that the button try to open I could investigate the problem, but I can’t see it. How could I know this url?

Request: Could you remove the e-mail addresses that appears in the second entry of this forum? (I didn’t notice and I couldn’t edit it).
