Product download link not in customer email

Hi, I have a downloadable PDF book. After purchase with Paypal, the page shows the link for immediate download and works fine. Unfortunately, the email to the customer does not include the link for the download.

My email includes the following:

Greetings {first_name}

Thanks for your purchase!

{product_details}

{product_specific_instructions}

If your purchase includes physical DVD’s, we will be sending them to:

{shipping_info}

Is there something I am missing?

You need to use one of the following email tags that adds the download links to that email.

{product_link} – List of purchased products and corresponding encrypted download links for the products.

Or…

{product_link_digital_items_only} – List of purchased digital items with encrypted download links (The item is only listed if the product has a downloadable file)

Also, make sure the email tag doesn’t have some invisible text inside of it; making it unrecognizable by the plugin. Try editing the template in text mode (not visual mode) and MANUALLY retype the email tags by hand.

b) What are you trying to achieve? sell digital brochures

c) What causes the error to show up? when I did a test the name of the product came in the email and payment was processed but no download link was given

f) Which product you are using eStore

g) Did you modify the plugin code? not for a download link

If you go to WP eStore –> Admin Functions, can you manually generate a download link, and does it work?

Under WP eStore –> Settings –> eMail Settings –> Buyer Email Body, do you have a {product_link} tag in the template?

I am NOT getting an email acknowledging purchase AND in another test there is NO download link either

It is likely you have some email issue on your server.

Enable the debug option in the plugin and do a test transaction:

If you see that the plguin is sending the email but you are not receiving it then that will confirm the email issue on your server. Thats not an issue in the plugin so you will need to fix that where the issue is. The following post will be helpful:
