I’ve had WP eStore and Wishlist Member working together now for a couple of years. Unfortunately, recently WP eStore has stopped sending out the “Complete your membership registration” email to new subscribers.
This happens with any membership type (product).
WP eStore registers the sale
WP eStore tells WLM that a specific type of membership has been purchased
WLM generates a registration link
The customer does not receive the “Thankyou for your purchase” email
The customer does not recieve the “Complete your membership registration” email
And,yes – I have verified that it isn’t going into their Spam box
I do receive the “Notification of Product Sale” email.
This was all set up correctly in 2010 and both products have been consistently updated. The site is running WP 3.3.1 and Thesis 1.84.
A couple of days ago I switched from the WordPress email system to the PHP Mail. The customer still isn’t getting their email.
What should I be looking for?

1. Reverse the following option that you did (using the WP mail system is a better option unless you have a specific reason):
“I switched from the WordPress email system to the PHP Mail”
2. Load a fresh build of eStore (just in case):

– subscription_handle_debug.log

Now, that also tells me that you are either not using the “Use WordPress Mailing System” option in eStore settings or you didn’t follow our update instruction when updating the plugin:

April 16, 2012 at 12:59 pm #44027rickandersonaiaMemberSomething is wrong because neither of your suggestions are accurate. I’ve been using and upgrading WP eStore for 2 years. And I make my living – in part – teaching other folks how to use it.
There is no check in the box beside “Use WordPress Mailing System”. Having said that, I am receiving an additional email that I only started getting when I had checked that box. However, for the results above the box was not checked.
I followed method 1 for upgrading. That is, I uninstalled the plugin and uploaded new files via FTP. It did give me the message that I hadn’t followed the directions, but I deactivated it and reactivated it again and it appears to be working exactly the same as before.
April 16, 2012 at 4:15 pm #44028rickandersonaiaMemberAs a follow up to this, every registration since this upgrade has failed to add the user to the appropriate membership level and WLM no longer adds them to a level and gives them a registration date of 1969.
I’m going to delete the plugin – using method 2 and try again.

We may have a little misunderstanding with the “Use WordPress Mailing System” checkbox. Just to be clear… I want you to have that checkbox checked/ticked.
