Still testing but it looks like a reinstall of WPeStore worked for us.
April 24, 2015 at 9:16 pm #54441florianfriedrichMemberThanks @admin!
I think, the problem is solved. No complaints sofa.
I changed the language code inside PayPal and it seemed to work.

June 11, 2015 at 6:06 am #54442marinaapperleyMemberHi. We (more accurately our customers) started receiving this message today (but only with some products):
“The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request. Please contact the site administrator.
Please tell the site administrator the problem was due to the following reason:
The download link (see browser address bar) couldn’t be found in the wp_eStore database.”
This only appears when trying to open the encrypted link within the purchase email. All works perfectly when clicking on the encrypted link on the Thank You page as well as through the Admin Functions section. Our debug log shows everything as “SUCCESS”. We do not use a shorten-er.
I have gone through the recommended checklist with no change. Checklist: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/downloaded-file-size-is-0-zero-byte
I have gone through all the different download options – some made it worse (all links stopped working) and the others saw no change. I have it currently set to ‘Method 2, Fopen-1M (New Default Alpha)’ as this is one that allows the links to work everywhere else.
Not sure what could be the problem. As mentioned above this issue started today (that we know of). We have had some of these products selling since last September (not sure if this makes a difference).
Please help. Not sure what my next step should be. Thanks.
June 11, 2015 at 9:02 am #54443nikola_mrnvMemberHi,
I also started having this problem with my products. The encrypted download link doesn’t work.
The following message is being displayed:
“The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request. Please contact the site administrator.
Please tell the site administrator the problem was due to the following reason:
The download link (see browser address bar) couldn’t be found in the wp_eStore database.”
After doing some testing I was able to confirm that this happens only for products with names written in Cyrillic lettering (Bulgarian). Once I change the name to Latin letters (English) it works fine.
My PayPal language encoding is set to UTF-8. My plugin version is 7.1.8.
On another website I am running eStore 7.1.6 and I don’t have this problem.
Please advise. Thanks.
Nikola

August 9, 2015 at 8:47 pm #54445IsabelSpectatorHi, Starting last night (after we upgraded to the latest version of WordPress), some (but not all) of our customers have been receiving this message when they click the encrypted link from the email:
The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request. Please contact the site administrator.
Please tell the site administrator the problem was due to the following reason:
The download link (see browser address bar) couldn’t be found in the wp_eStore database.
After looking through this thread we have tried reinstalling WP estore but that didn´t work. We tested links generated from the admin function and they work fine.
These are products that have worked in the past and they don´t include any non English language characters.
Any help would be appreciated.
August 9, 2015 at 9:36 pm #54446IsabelSpectatorAn update. We have noticed that the links that don´t work have a strange character inserted in the product name – this character is not in the product name on the wp estore product. (Remember this is on products that have worked fine in the past).
Here´s a disguised example from a customer who bought 2 products at the same time – particularly interesting because the customer bought 2 products and one had the character added and one didn’t:
> Eric Jones – Product 1 –
>
> James Smith Product 2 –
August 10, 2015 at 1:30 am #54447adminKeymasterHave you done the following already (as suggested in one of the previous posts)?
August 10, 2015 at 12:40 pm #54448IsabelSpectatorMany thanks. We missed that link but it does seem to have worked. I appreciate your help.
