We use PayPal as our payment processor. Everything works fine when someone has a PayPal account and pays using PayPal. They receive the download link in their email.
When someone pays with a credit card, they don’t receive the download link for some reason, even if they entered their email at the time of payment.

Note: sometimes PayPal can hold the fund for review when a credit card is used because the PayPal account is not verified. Remember the plugin will not do the post payment processing and give out the links until it receives the all ok cleared fund. This is to protect you from scammers. It will process the payment when PayPal clears the fund into your account. Anyway, debug will tell us exactly what is going on.
You will most likely find out the mistake you made from the debug but if you need help simply share the debug file content.

Im having similar issues.
Im selling a downloadable pdf report. Ive done 3 test purchases and paypal collects the money fine and send the email to the customer. However estore does not appear to be sending the email which contains the download link to the pdf file.
Ive used 3 types of payment:
1) debit card
2)credit card
3)paypal (verified) account payment.
None of the tests recieved the email containing the link. Please help.
please tell me what debug file you require and i will copy and paste it for you.

Regarding the mailchimp list issue I can see the following errors:
[05/10/2012 5:39 PM] – FAILURE :Error! You did not specify your MailChimp API key in the autoresponder settings. MailChimp signup will fail.
Can you please check your eStore settings and make sure that you have specified your API key?
Regarding the email not being sent let’s wait for Admin’s opinion on this.

Regarding the mailchimp… I also noticed that the debug stops right after the following line which tells me that something is causing the script to die when it tries to create an API object.

FYI – You can reset your debug log before running a new test transaction so you get a clean capture from this transaction only.

Ok so I installed the wp-email-smtp plugin, set up the smtp using the settings provided by my yahoo hosting and did a test email.
Below is the response:
The SMTP debugging output is shown below:
SMTP -> ERROR: Failed to connect to server: Permission denied (13)
SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.
I cant understand what is going wrong.
Any ideas suggestions would be a great help.
I’ve just deleted and downloaded the plugin again. will do another test purchase and see how this goes.

May 20, 2012 at 7:52 pm #44364personalprogressMemberI checked my hosting and there is no mention of Yahoo plus. However within my email settings it does give me the pop3 and smtp configuration and to set it up so i believe it must be included within my web hosting
May 21, 2012 at 12:16 am #44365wzpModeratorI am pretty sure, the email functionality in your WordPress install is not working. There is an easy test you can do to verify this. Do one or all of the following test:
1. Can you use the Admin Functions panel to manually send an email?
2. When you use WordPress to register a new user, does it send an email?
3. When you leave a comment on your site, does it send an email?
If it doesn’t send the email for the above cases (these are core WordPress functionality) then you know that the email functionality is not working in this WP Install. If the email functionality in your WordPress install is not working then plugins on this site won’t be able to send email properly.
