    Hi,

    Today we received several emails from the eStore that say “Payment Verification Failed” in the subject line. In the part of the message that says “Exact Reason for This Failure”, it says this:

    “Request received for product ID: 6. Could not find this Product ID in the product database (please check the manage products menu and verify that you have specified the correct product ID).”

    The problem is, we DO have a product with the ID 6, so there’s no reason the eStore shouldn’t have been able to find that product in the database. We double checked the Manage Products page and verified we have a product with the ID of 6. We only sell seven different products and we haven’t changed any of our products since the day the store was first set up, so I don’t know why this problem suddenly started happening today.

    Do you know of any reason why the eStore would suddenly start giving this error message, or why it would say it can’t find product #6 when that product is definitely in the database?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply. We haven’t made any changes to our site or added any plugins or anything like that and we haven’t changed our PayPal account since we first configured it, so I checked with our hosting company today but they said they haven’t made any changes either. What should I do next to find out what is causing the problem?

    The problem doesn’t make much sense to me because we’ve had a few customers order the same item (product ID #6) during the past day after the problem first started happening. So, it seems like sometimes the eStore recognizes that there’s a product with the ID of 6 and sometimes it doesn’t. What else could cause that to happen?

    Yeah, its definitely not normal. Lets do the following:

    Then give me an update after that. Let me know if you get any customer who fails to receive an item after purchase. Do you have any other plugin or script on this site that is processing payment via PayPal?
