I still don’t have the newest version. The automatic request said “Success” but no email! I sent a manual request, but no email!
January 6, 2012 at 4:23 am #40435PeterMemberYou might have to wait for Amin or Ivy to see the email and send you a copy.
January 6, 2012 at 4:32 am #40436robinsnMemberHow long is that going to take? I’ll fill out the automatic again…
In the meantime, here’s some interesting clues:
BTW, I was receiving emails still from purchases I did hours ago. One every few minutes from all the different purchases. They are all in the log file of eStore, so it can’t be my server sending the same email over and over.
Yet when I deactivated eStore they continued to show in my inbox.
Here’s the sequence:
My last purchase was at 9:52.
At 10:18 I got more emails (many since the last purchase)
At 10:19 I rebooted my server.
At 10:23 I received more emails from eStore.
At 10:24 I deactivated eStore
At 10:26 I received more email
At 10:27 I reactivated eStore
At 10:27 I Reset the debug files
At 10:29 I received more emails and the log files showed that eStore sent them!
I don’t know how this can be.
January 6, 2012 at 4:48 am #40437robinsnMemberStill no luck with the upgrade. I have my receipt and double checked everything. It is all correct but it won’t send me an email!
Is there nothing else we can do?
January 6, 2012 at 5:00 am #40438robinsnMemberLooking at the IPN log, it appears to me that paypal is continuously sending the post string to eStore and eStore is not giving paypal the acknowledgement that it wants.
Here is one transaction from the log 34 minutes after the last purchase was made, after the server was rebooted, eStore was deactivated and reactivated.

January 6, 2012 at 5:35 am #40439PeterMemberYou’ll find that it’s most probably not eStore but your host server where the problem lies.
The fact that you deactivated eStore and continued to see emails is a big clue which would lead me to believe that your server might be the problem.
Which hosting company are you with?
ps: regarding your new copy of the plugin, someone should be in contact with you shortly
January 6, 2012 at 9:30 am #40440IvyMemberJust to add to Peters response. Most the time this happens when PayPal does not get the correct response from your server when it is sending the IPN, so it sends multiple IPNs until it times out (PayPal is thinking the IPN is failing and not reaching your server). You can read more about this and why the eStore processed each IPN that is sent here:
Note One: This should not be happening if you are using the latest version of the plugin as there are checks to prevent this.
What version of the plugin are you using?
Note Two: That GoDaddy hosting delays their emails and this is very common when using their hosting as it does not send the notification that the IPN was received to PayPal for up to 30 minutes.

January 6, 2012 at 2:02 pm #40441robinsnMemberThe emails were still coming in this morning 9 hours later! As soon as I installed the new version of eStore, they stopped!
I still need to test another purchase, but it appears to be fixed. Thanks!
