Login & Logout & Edit Profile not working properly

A new site member has pointed out that my login, logout and edit profile elements aren’t working.

I opened a new browser session and logged in at the front end as an ordinary user – that works OK

Clicked on Logout – takes me back to homepage as I’ve set. However when I go back to the Login page, I am still logged in with the ordinary user name. I cannot get logged out.

Also, even though I am logged in, when I click on Edit Profile the system asks me to Login but that message doesn’t include a link to the Login page as all the other eMember pages do

Clearly something has gone completely up the wall.

The same behaviour is observed if I login with my Admin username

Looks like a caching a issue to me. The “login” page is cached so even though you are logged out its showing the cached version of the page.

Are you using a caching plugin?

If you are using W3 Total Cache plugin then have you done the following?
