Removed, see post below instead.
October 26, 2011 at 3:09 am #18229SDesignMemberSame result using a test product priced at $0.01. I make the purchase and PayPal process it. I then have to click the “Return to Merchant” button, it does not auto redirect to the site.
After “Return to Merchant” is pressed the “You Made a Payment” PayPal page appears and then redirects after about 5-10 seconds only after popping an alert:
“Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party. Are you sure you want to continue sending this information?”
This has to be cleared “continue” before the forward will happen.
I then land on the thank you page with no information about the purchase filled in with [wp_eStore_transaction_result:end] appearing below the thank you message on the page.
Both the customer and and merchant emails are sent from eStore and PayPal, but no information is filled in on the thank you page and the shopping cart still does not clear when returned to the site. The initial product is still in the cart when customer lands on the Thank You page. Tested in Mac Safari 5.1.1 and Mac Firefox 7.0.1 both produce the same result.
Link to page with (0.01) test product, **please remove after you access it**:

October 26, 2011 at 4:00 am #18230adminKeymasterOkay so your IPN is working fine which means the customer should be receiving emails after the purchase. Now, to get the links on the thank you page you need to setup PDT correctly (as of now your PDF setup is not correct). This document has a video tutorial which will help you correct the mistake:

October 26, 2011 at 4:04 am #18231adminKeymasterUpdated the plugin to work with the changes PayPal made for Sandbox transactions. You can get a new build of the plugin from here:
October 26, 2011 at 4:27 am #18232SDesignMemberEverything is working now!
Not sure what happened, but you were correct, PDT got turned off in PayPal, even though it was on yesterday. So, now the redirect works properly without error and the cart is now empty on return as well. BTW, I had a bad [ on the “thank you” page preventing the order data from filling in properly.
Thank you so much for your nearly instant responses! I will certainly be purchasing additional copies and using your WP eStore cart plug-in on others sites in the future.
**Please remove the test product URL above**
Thanks again,
SDesign
April 27, 2012 at 11:58 pm #18233adminKeymasterAnother example of this (turned out that a contact form plugin was blocking the IPN):
