When I try I fill out the forgot password form it sends an email fine, but when I try the new password it says “Invalid Login. Please try again with correct user name and password.”
Now I know it reset the password because the old one doesn’t work anymore.
Any ideas?
January 21, 2012 at 6:20 am #41020adminKeymasterDid you type the new password or copy and paste it? If you copy and paste make sure that you are not copying an empty space at the end of beginning. If you have free member registration enabled then please post a link to your registration page so I can do a test signup and check it out. Also, what version of eMember and WordPress are you using?
January 21, 2012 at 4:23 pm #41021nathanbarryMemberI’m sure the password is correct, without white space. Here is the signup form: http://bestqualityhcg.com/affiliate-portal/?wp_affiliate_view=signup
I am using WP Affiliate with Shopp. Not eMember.
Thanks!
January 22, 2012 at 5:29 am #41022adminKeymasterThank you.. I had a look and it looks like you have changed the plugins code. It is hard for us to troubleshoot a customized version of the plugin. Can you please do the following:
1. Take a backup of your customized version
2. Then deactivate and delete the currently installed customized version of the plugin(s).
You won’t lose any settings or other data (product, member, affiliate etc.) that you have already configured in the plugin.
3. Download a fresh build of the plugin(s) from here:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/update-request
4. Upload and activate this version of the plugin(s). The specific update instruction for the plugin in question can be accessed from here:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/plugin-installation-and-upgrade-instructions
Also, please let me know which version of the plugin you were using (the one you customized).
February 2, 2012 at 3:47 am #41023nathanbarryMemberI put it back to an unmodified version of the plugin and it still doesn’t work (I only modified text, not code). I am using 4.9.9.2. Any other ideas?

February 19, 2012 at 5:14 am #41025allen8idtheftMemberThe following error occurred when activating WordPress Affiliate platform. T
[18-Feb-2012 04:14:30] WordPress database error Multiple primary key defined for query ALTER TABLE wp_affiliates_leads_tbl ADD PRIMARY KEY (lead_id) made by activate_plugin, do_action, call_user_func_array, wp_aff_platform_install, wp_affiliate_platform_run_activation, wp_affiliate_platform_run_installer, dbDelta

WordPress version is 3.3.1 and plugin is latest version. I have purchased installed WP-eStore, Stamper, Affiliate Links and Affilate Platform plugins.
After purchase, the plugin was downloaded onto local computer and uploaded using WordPress plugin upload feature. Problem has occurred during activation.
I can no longer access WordPress site using wp-admin. The error message is ERROR: The password you entered for the username admin is incorrect. All logins attempts fail including new users. I have also used password retrieval and PHPMYADMIN database to retrieve password.
Could you please advise a solution?

February 19, 2012 at 7:02 am #41026adminKeymasterIt is impossible for any of our plugin’s activation to go wrong and you losing the ability to log into your WordPress admin. There has to be some other explanation for this (the password retrieval should work regardless). I will send you an email to get more details so I can investigate and find out the true cause.
February 19, 2012 at 11:29 pm #41027adminKeymasterTurned out that the server got hacked and the user lost the admin access. Hosting provider is restoring it.
February 22, 2012 at 11:07 pm #41028workhorseMemberI am having the exact same problem as nathanbarry. I am using the affiliate program with eStore and the payment gateway plugins. Everything seems to be working fine. I was notified by an affiliate that they tried changing their password and it didn’t take. I deactivated and then activated the plugin and now I can change the password from the admin panel and i tested changing the password from a test signup and it seems to work fine. However if I try and use the forgotten password feature I do get the email with a new password but the password doesn’t work. So the forgotten password that the system is creating is not getting saved or added to the members info. I have typed the new password manually and not copied and pasted and have tried this many times before writing this to you.
Please advise.
Thank you
Jason
February 23, 2012 at 6:38 am #41029adminKeymasterWe have recently changed the affiliate user password schema to make it more secure. It all happens under the hood so you won’t notice any difference. Somewhere in there (between the encryption and decryption) the forgot password mechanism got messed up. We updated the plugin so it shouldn’t have any issues with the forgot password anymore if you update the plugin. Please do the following:
1. Deactivate and delete the currently installed version of the plugin(s).
You won’t lose any settings or other data (product, member, affiliate etc.) that you have already configured in the plugin.
2. Download a fresh build of the plugin(s) from here:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/update-request
3. Upload and activate this version of the plugin(s).
Let me know how it goes after that.
February 23, 2012 at 7:03 pm #41030workhorseMemberI down loaded and installed the new build of the affiliate plugin. All the data was still there after deactivating and deleting the old version. I tested the forgotten password reset and it works fine now. I also tested changing the password as the user and as the admin and had success on all fronts.
Thank you. Anyone else having this problem go right to the new build and then get back to work . . .haha
March 5, 2012 at 9:17 pm #41031David MoncriefMemberRecently installed the WP eStore plug-in into my blog – http://www.perfectjerky.com to sell download of eBook. Have product installed and everything seems to be working to a point – after attempting to run a test (both in PP sandbox and through 2 known active PP accounts) I run into the same problem with both tests. After adding product to cart, and proceeding to check out, filling in information on PP log-in page (user name & password), I get a message that either the username or password are incorrect. Since I know both PP accounts are working and I can log-in to both of those without any problems – don’t understand what’s causing the error. Can you help? I have not changed any code – just using the plug-in following the tutorials on your page. Plug-in is on page http://www.perfectjerky.com/store
March 5, 2012 at 9:35 pm #41032PeterMemberHi,
Currently your eStore is sending people to PayPal sandbox.
Remember that you need to use the “buyers” account which would have been configured in your PayPal sandbox profile to make a purchase when in sandbox mode.
March 6, 2012 at 5:01 pm #41033David MoncriefMemberPeter – Thanks for the quick reply. Took the plug-in off ‘sandbox mode’ and everything worked perfectly…. this plug-in was just what I’d been looking for over the past few weeks.
