Hello,
As per this support article (https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/estore-how-to-use-a-text-link-to-accommodate-the-purchase-of-a-product) I am trying to create a text link that will add a product to the cart and then take the customer to my cart page: http://www.example.com/cart.
I have used this link: http://www.example.com/cart/?wp_eStore_add_to_cart=1 and replaced with “example.com” with my domain…
The link is taking me to the cart page however, it is saying that the cart is empty. Can you please assist with regards to why it is not adding the product to the cart.
Just FYI, I have added https://mydomain.com/cart/ to the “Checkout Page” field in WP eStore > Settings > General Settings. I have also checked off the box “Automatic redirection to checkout page”.
Thank you

Did you also replace the “1” with the product code you want added to the cart?
April 10, 2020 at 12:21 am #80456adminKeymasterPost the real URL of the site (that you are using) so we can check the behavior using our browser.
You have added the Extra eStore Shortocodes addon to your site correct?
April 10, 2020 at 2:46 am #80457KamMemberHi,
The product code is actually “1”. I only entered 1 product thus far.
The real URL is: [fitnesswebdesigner.com/cart/?wp_eStore_add_to_cart=1]
Thank you

April 11, 2020 at 1:08 am #80459adminKeymasterLooks like you are having a caching issue. At first it was showing me a cached page (for that cart page). Then I cleared my browser cache and also hit the force refresh to pull content from ther server and it showed me the item in the cart.
So the plugin is working fine. You are just seeing a cached page for that “cart” page. Can you exclude that “cart” page from caching? What kind of caching solution do you have?
We only support the following caching solutions:
Using the plugins with W3 Total Cache – https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/using-the-plugins-with-w3-total-cache-plugin
Using the plugins with WP Super Cache – https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/using-the-plugins-together-with-wp-super-cache-plugin
April 11, 2020 at 5:49 pm #80460KamMemberHi,
Thanks alot. I am actually not using any special caching solution. I’m just using the Divi Theme Builder and some other simple plugins.
I noticed that if I use the URL without “www.” then the cart functions properly but with the “www.” then it doesnt.
This works: [https://fitnesswebdesigner.com/cart/?wp_eStore_add_to_cart=1]
This doesn’t work: [https://www.fitnesswebdesigner.com/cart/?wp_eStore_add_to_cart=1]
April 11, 2020 at 11:26 pm #80461adminKeymasterThat would be an issue. Please fix the URL rewriting issue on this site. The following post has explanation.
