eStore – squeeze page – extra required fields

Hi,

I understand that the squeeze page should only have a name and an email field for free downloads, but my page has other required fields such as address, city, state, postal code, etc. I recently upgraded the plugin by completely removing the previous plugin and uploading the new one. Is there any way to remove these extra fields?

I’m confused. Are you trying to eliminate extra fields on a page that are leftover from a previously installed “mystery plugin,” or are you trying to get eStore to ask for those extra fields too? eStore doesn’t have any extra fields in the squeeze form so I am not sure how we can help you remove something that eStore doesn’t add in the first place.

Maybe I have the squeeze form confused with something else, but I uploaded a fresh copy of the plugin and have no duplicates. I was able to remove what I was after in the eStore_shipping_details_view.php file at the bottom of function show_shipping_details_form_new()

It was requiring shipping info for a digital download product. Is there a better (i.e. upgrade-safe) way to disable this?

Maybe you are referring to the manual checkout page/form (that is not the squeeze form). Did you use any eStore shortcode on this post/page? If you did which shortcode?
