    Hello Tips and Tricks,

    Should I be worried?

A digital purchase came through on March 8th. The manage customers sections did not reflect this sale. The sales count did not increment.

On the good side, it looks like the pdf stamper file was created and the customer was able to download it (otherwise I’m pretty sure we would have received a call/email about it). Paypal did receive the $$$s.

Here is the last line that was posted in the debug file:

[03/09/2012 5:13 AM] – FAILURE :Connection to http://www.paypal.com failed. fsockopen error no. :

[03/09/2012 5:13 AM] – SUCCESS :Paypal class finished.

There is only one occurence of the word FAILURE (see above) in the debug file.

What do I have to do for the manage customers and sales to be updated?

Thanks for your help with this.

    Hi,

Your error suggests a problem with your server which your hosting provider should be able to help you with. See this post which has an identical problem:

No need to worry. You customer can never get a digital item without actually paying. If the data is not going to the database that indicates a database column out of sync issue.

I would recommend loading a fresh build of the plugin then running a test transaction with debug option enabled so we can see what is going on:

    Hello,

Thank you for your replies. I have followed your suggestions. I expect to receive a reply from my hosting provider soon.

By the way, when I tested my squeeze form before installing the latest, it no longer worked. Sniff..

After the new install of eStore and PDF Stamper, the squeeze form no longer works. Ouch!

Is this a new problem, or just another symptom of the FSOCKOPEN error?

    Hello Tips,

Please help! PDF Stamper is NOT working. Here is the error message from WordPress on the new install.

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Site error: the file /home/soccermo/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-pdf-stamper/wp_pdf_stamp1.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.

The following error means your ioncube loader install is broken or it is not working correctly on this server:

Site error: the file /home/soccermo/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-pdf-stamper/wp_pdf_stamp1.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.

The minimum requirement checker plugin will help you see when IonCube Loader is installed correctly:

    http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wp-pdf-stamper/minimum-requirements-for-the-wp-pdf-stamper-plugin-104

Before you try anything else make sure you can manually stamp a PDF file by using the manual stamp feature. So tell your hosting provider to fix the IonCube Loader issue then go to the manual stamping page and make sure you can stamp a file without any issue.

    Hello Tips,

Here are the results of the ioncube wizard:

Please tell us if there is a green checkmark next to the following point:

    IonCube Decoder Present

Hosting providers like to just say that it is the *scripts* fault (we see this regularly). Installing the ioncube loader and installing it *properly* are two different things.

Go through this post and it has more detailed test that you can do yourself and verify:

Hello World! If Ioncube is working properly on the server then this message will show up fine

    Summary

If you are using a free or a very cheap shared hosting then your server may not be capable of running the WP PDF Stamper plugin. Please check the values below carefully to determine if your server meets the minimum requirements

    IonCube Decoder Present

The plugin will not even activate without the Free IonCube Decoder Library. Your hosting provider will need to install it if you don’t have it.

    CURL Library Present

    PHP Version

    5.2.9

If your PHP version is lower than 5.2.0 then this plugin will not work on this server.

    PHP Memory Limit (RAM Memory)

    256M

The amount of memory you need depends on how big the PDF files are. If you need to stamp large PDF files (PDF files with more than 100 pages for example) then you should aim for 128M (Mega Bytes) memory for your server. Contact your hosting provider to see if you can increase your PHP mermory limit if needed.

Oops my keyboard died in previous post.

To summarize the Min Req Checker has a big red x beside the IonCube Decoder Present. Curl Library has a green check.

    Please help!

As long as there is a red cross next to the “IonCube Loader” section of the minimum requirement checker it means that WordPress is not recognizing it (meaning Ioncube is not installed account wide) so the plugin won’t work. This is part of the reason why we give you the minimum requirement checker so you can check it without all these hassles.

With that said, It depends on server to server but I have seen that on some servers they require you to upload a copy of the “php.ini” in the plugins folder for IonCube Loader to be recognized by WordPress. So try that approach… copy your “php.ini” file and put it inside the minimum requirement checker plugin’s folder and let me know if you see a checkmark after that.

    Bingo!

When the php.ini file was placed into the minimum requirements plugin directory … still did NOT work.

Placed the php.ini in every subdirectory I could think of including wp-admin and wp-content and others. Finally PDF Stamper works.

In summary, if you can tell me which subdirectory the php.ini file should be in, I will remove the php.ini’s from the other directories. Otherwise, I will leave it as is and live with the mystery of ioncube.

Thank you for your patience with this issue,

    Ariana

I have no clue on this one… sorry. I don’t know why some server’s require this.

    Hello Tips,

Good News/Bad News – Had another sale yesterday. The original reason for this support request is still unresolved.

There are no errors recorded in the log files.

Have received the $$$ via Paypal.

    The Stamped files are beautiful.

Yet, there is no record of the sales recorded by eStore Stats, nor under manage customers.

The only discrepancy that I noticed was a time stamp difference between PDF stamper and the log files. The log files have recorded the sale at a future time stamp.

Let me know if you require the log files.

If everything is working except the data getting to the database then it means you have the following issue:
