    eStore Version: 7.1.8

Theme: Recently updated the website to Avada. eStore worked great on our previous theme.

Browsers Tested: sometimes works on Firefox, but not on Chrome, Safari. (I just got an email from a customer who tried to buy via Firefox and they couldn’t add anything to the cart).

Avada Support: They won’t help on issues related to 3rd party plugins.

    SUMMARY OF ISSUES:

    a) clicking on “add to cart” brings up the product in the cart, but then when you click “continue shopping” and add something else, it doesn’t add the 2nd item to the cart. It only shows the first item.

    b) Widget [wp_eStore_cart_when_not_empty] does not show up on right nav bar after you add something to the cart.

If you have any caching plugins installed, does the problem “go away” after you disable the caching?

That seems to have fixed it – tested in firefox, safari and Chrome browsers.

    Two more related questions:

    a) Suggested Caching Plugins: Do you recommend any specific caching plugins? We were using Zencache (this is now deactivated).

    b) Cart Summary vs Detailed list: How do we make the cart widget in the right nav bar a summary that just shows the total items in the cart instead of the detail? Presently, we’re using this short code as a text widget – [wp_eStore_cart_when_not_empty]

    Thanks so much!

    a) I would recommend you to use either W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache. They are both very popular.

Using the Plugins with W3 Total Cache Plugin

Using the Plugins Together with WP Super Cache Plugin

    b) You can use this shortcode to show the total number of items in the shopping cart:

    [wp_eStore_total_items_in_cart]

In order to use this shortcode you will need to have the eStore extra shortcode addon installed.
