I am using WordFence on my site and wonder if there are any known issues between it and eStore. I know there are settings in WF that need to be changed for, say, Woocommerce and was wondering about this plugin. Did do a search for WordFence and no results.

    Thanks,

    K

We don’t know of any issue with Wordfence. So you shouldn’t have any problem.

We also have a security plugin (if you wanted to take a look):

Wordfence may cause major problems if you have the performance cache turned on. If a customer adds more than one item to the cart it may only show the first item and if an item is deleted it may not show as the cached page may show.

This can be solved by adding the pages used for eStore (products page and checkout page) to the ‘cache exclusions’ on the Wordfence performance tab.

If you are using a caching plugin, such as WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache, you must configure it, according to these instructions:

    • WP Super Cache:

      https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/using-the-plugins-together-with-wp-super-cache-plugin

    • W3 Total Cache:

      https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/using-the-plugins-with-w3-total-cache-plugin

These are the only two “officially supported” caching plugins.

yes, you should be able to add those pages to the cache exclusion page list and get around the issue.

The best solution is if they have an option to do the following:

Exclude caching (serve a dynamic page), if a certain cookie is present.

You can ask them if they have the above option.
