Hello!
I am using WP estore on my site skiingwithconfidence.com. Everything works really well except for the free download data capture that is sending out 4 duplicate emails. I have had my hosting company check everthing out there end (as per documentation). They have also checked out th wordpress site and have sent me the following message
‘Hello, Thank you for sending that. I have looked over the settings and they seem to be set correctly. However, I am not familiar with the issues that would cause this plugin to send these. The fact is that the plugin IS sending all four of these emails. I see that the short code is there however, we cannot support going through the plugin code to see what might be causing this issue.
If you can contact the creators of the plugin to possibly get some idea of what has caused the plugin to do this in the past, we can check the suggestions against the server settings.’
The shortcode I am using in the sidebar is <?php echo eStore_free_download_form(9); ?>
The shortcode I am using in the main page is [wp_eStore_free_download:product_id:9:end]I also have this shortcode on another page [wp_eStore_free_download_ajax:product_id:9:end]
Maybe this is the problem? Please help!
Many thanks
February 4, 2012 at 4:28 am #41599adminKeymasterWhat version of eStore are you using?
Please do step 1 to 5 of the following post and then share the content of the “eStore_post_payment_debug.log” file:
February 6, 2012 at 11:51 am #41600kaygillMemberHi,
I am using WP eStore version 5.9.3.
After performing the steps you suggested here is the squeeze_form_debug.log” content
[admin removed debug info]
Looking forward to getting this sorted!
Thanks, Kay
February 6, 2012 at 12:42 pm #41601PeterMemberHi,
I just tried a test on your site and I did indeed get multiple emails.
Before we do anything else, can you please load the latest version of eStore as per the instructions below:
Then try a test again to see if this makes a difference.
February 7, 2012 at 11:54 am #41602kaygillMemberAAgggggghhhh! I followed the instructions as per your response but the automatic upload didn’t work – gave me an error message saying it was an invalid code – which it wasn’t. I have requested a manual upload but as I had already deleted the plugin as instructed my site now had no store facilities!
Help! Please!
Thanks Kay
February 7, 2012 at 12:48 pm #41603kaygillMemberOK – panic over! So – WP eStore updated and sanity restored however… Multiple emails still being sent! This time I received 5.
Any other ideas?
Thanks
Kay
February 7, 2012 at 12:53 pm #41604kaygillMemberJust a thought… could it be that my sidebar form is in the form of a php widget?
Code being.. <?php echo eStore_free_download_form(9); ?>
Kay
February 7, 2012 at 1:02 pm #41605kaygillMemberI think I might have it sorted! Fingers crossed. One of my squeeze page codes was an ajax one. I have replaced this with [wp_eStore_free_download:product_id:9:end] and it appears to work now. Could you be a little love and re test it for me from your end please?
Many thanks
Kay
February 8, 2012 at 4:08 am #41606adminKeymaster1. Please load a fresh build of the plugin:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins
2. Use the Normal squeeze form shortcode only (not the ajax one).
Now, test it out and let us know how it goes.
