changing free membership level & adding existing members to it

Hi, I’m having trouble changing the 7-day free trial to a free membership level, & adding existing members to it. When I change the starting date for the free membership and change the membership level from 7 day free trial to Free membership for a member it won’t save the page.

It appears to have saved the info. But when I scroll to the top I see a red flag next to the username that says, this field is required. The username and every other field are filled in. the member is not upgraded to the Free membership level. What can I do?

Is this a free membership level that only lasts 7 days, or is this a paid membership level with a 7 day free membership period?

In any case, the “best way” of approaching the issue is to create a separate free membership level and then simply bulk move existing members to it.

Do you see any JavaScript errors on the admin interface of your site? That could be preventing the validator from doing the validation correctly.

Use this info to check for JavaScript errors:

Debugging JavaScript Errors on Your Site

Also, load a fresh copy of the emember plugin just to make sure:

Re-install or Load a Fresh Copy of the Plugin(s)

Then empty your browser cache so the JavaScript files are forced to be reloaded. Edit a profile after that to see if there is any difference.
