I need to import about 150 members. I have passwords for each member, but I notice there’s no password field in the Bulk Import Addon. Will members have to login and create their own passwords?

Sorry, but I also have some additional questions regarding the importer, specifically the CSV file:

    1) What fields are required to have data in them?

    2) What format does the membership_level need to be? I notice you have a number in the skeleton file, but my membership level has a name

    3) If my membership is good for 1 year, what do I enter in the Membership Expiry field?

Import CSV members data + Password

    1) What fields are required to have data in them?

Here is a list of all recognized CSV fields:

I would suggest, that as a very minimum, you import the following fields:

    • user_name
    • first_name
    • last_name
    • membership_level
    • account_state
    • email

Once they have been imported, you can use the Admin settings to fine tune the entries.

    2) What format does the membership_level need to be? I notice you have a number in the skeleton file, but my membership level has a name

The membership_level is an index number; that corresponds to the index number assigned to that level by eMember. Setup your levels in eMember first; then use the resulting index numbers in your CSV file.

    3) If my membership is good for 1 year, what do I enter in the Membership Expiry field?

You should do this from the Admin settings. The expiry length for each level is set in the plugin.
